GREAT FALLS, Montana — Two Great Falls residents face child endangerment charges after a hair sample from their 8-month-old child and three other school-age children who lived with them tested positive for drugs.

The Great Falls Tribune reports ( http://gftrib.com/1cUzstL" rel="nofollow - http://gftrib.com/1cUzstL ) 31-year-old Anthony Freeman and 28-year-old Sarah Hamrick were arrested this week after an investigation by the Russell Country Drug Task Force.

They reportedly told law enforcement officers that their baby sitter must have exposed the baby to drugs. But an investigation found the couple knew the baby sitter used meth and had at times given her the drug as payment.

Court records say Freeman told investigators that Hamrick smoked a "good amount" of meth, including in their residence on some occasions when the children were present.

Two thoughts:

1.  Very sad that young children are being exposed or given drugs.  Very wrong.
2.  Great news that hair can be used to test for drugs for a very worthwhile purpose.

Agree or disagree?
