Why is Hairboutique.com and Hairtalk being called an attack site?  Google thinks this website is bad as of Feb 1.

Our apologies. The same people who have been spamming the Hair Talk boards with fake watches, handbags and shoes have been doing code injection attacks. We are monitoring the site nonstop. Unfortunately although we remove the malware immediately it can take the search engines awhile to clear our pages even though we do notify the search engines the minute we clear the malware.

If you come to the site and see the warning please just leave and try later. We appreciate any help you can provide so if you wish you can email webmaster@hairboutique.com.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi SSJockey,

So sorry for any inconvenience. We have been stepping up our efforts to remove and block spammers on HairTalk. It seems that right after we shut down the Ips the bulk of the spam is coming from we get attacked with malware.

We are working hard to monitor, block and remove the code.

Trust me... It is hurting us in many areas.

You can also email me.....shelton@hairboutique.com if you wish to report problems.

Thanks again.Karen Shelton2013-02-02 11:36:52 !$ Shab` dbe ,%4 b` , 8bp - )%! )-% !$ -,$`r /2

Hi Erica,

Thanks for your reply.

I apologize to you and anyone who was inconvenienced in any way.  This problem is becoming a major issue for many websites.   We are hopeful that we have it contained.

I very much appreciate your posts and participation.

Even though the attack was a nightmare which lasted for 3 solid days, it was a good learning experience.  We now have software which is monitoring the site 24/7 and working with Google.

Literally thousands of sites went through the same experience and continue to do so.  Disney was hacked and you could not buy online tickets due to this.  Several major US businesses were also attacked as well as several banks and Twitter.

Of course several major newspapers and banks were attacked as well.

It doesn't make me feel better that we had to go through this but at least we were not the only site...which somehow is more reassuring.

Thanks again for all of your patience and loyalty as well as for coming back.
