http://www.espow.com/wholesale-women-products-wig-series-lace-wigs.html - Full lace wigs are made with a cap covered with lace, where each hair is then sewn by hand into the lace, the result being (unless you know what you looking for) a completely natural looking hair. The style can be changed as if it were your own this includes being to tie it back into a pony tail, without revealing anything more then a natural looking hair line. I know that tying you hair back in a pony tail isn't a big deal; I tend to chuck my hair up if I don't have time to do anything with it.  but to do the same with a wig and have it look completely natural is a huge deal. A really good example would be Beyonces' hair in her Halo video, she shows just how pretty and natural a lace front wigs could really be.Big%20smile $- P cn`dp0% 00BB .(4`p /.%%%,%! -%,!--,b` ,$

Wigs have been used since antiquity as hairstyles https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hairstyle" rel="nofollow - and costumers. Ancient Egyptians https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Egypt" rel="nofollow - wore wigs to shield their shaved heads from the sun. They also wore the wigs on top of their hair using beeswax https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beeswax" rel="nofollow - and resin to keep the wigs in place. Other ancient cultures, including the Assyrians, Phoenicians, Greeks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lace_wig#cite_note-1" rel="nofollow -  and Romans, also used wigs as an everyday fashion.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lace_wig#cite_note-wigshistoryappearance-2" rel="nofollow - There was intermittent use of wigs in many cultures throughout history including the prophlactic use of them in England in the 1600s to help protect from head lice.

The modern wig was adopted by Louis VIII https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_VIII" rel="nofollow - to cover his baldness. By the late 1600s, both wigs and handmade lace headpieces were common with European and North American upper classes as daily fashion. Wigs were made of human, horse, and yak hair and sewn onto a frame with silken thread were meant to be obvious as wigs and not the wearer's actual hair.

Powdered wigs in rows of curls, known as periwigs, were adopted as court dress https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Court_dress" rel="nofollow - in many cultures with elaborate curls and style.

After the American Revolutionary War https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Revolutionary_War" rel="nofollow - , styles in North America changed and the wig as a sign of social class died out of use.Wigs began to be used more to augment natural hair for elaborate hairstyles, for religious reasons, or to cover hair loss https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hair_loss" rel="nofollow - in both genders and therefore were required to blend with the wearer's natural hair.

The selling of human hair by the lower classes for use in wigs by the upper classes was captured in stories like Gift of the Magi and Little Women.

In the 19th century a new wig-making method began to replace the weft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Weft" rel="nofollow - method most commonly used prior.

A small hook called a "ventilating needle", similar to the tambour hooks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tambour_lace" rel="nofollow - used for decorating fabric with chain-stitch embroidery at that period, is used to knot a few strands of hair at a time directly to a suitable foundation material. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lace_wig#cite_note-5" rel="nofollow -

By the 1870s, the lace machine https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lace_machine" rel="nofollow - had made lace affordable through mass production and the use of lace as foundation material for wigs entered popular use.

Using lace allowed for a more natural-looking wig because the flesh-colored lace is almost imperceptible.

The more common use was a strip of lace just at the front, known as a lace front wig, which gives the impression of a natural hairline.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lace_wig#cite_note-historicalwig-8" rel="nofollow -
