(AllHipHop News) Ja Rule was sentenced to more than two years in jail time today (July 18th), after failing to pay income taxes on over $3 million.

Ja Rule was accused of failing to pay the IRS millions of dollars in taxable income that was earned from 2004 to 2006.

According to The Associated Press, the jail time will run concurrently with his two year sentence for attempted criminal possession of a weapon, stemming from a July, 2007 incident.

The new jail time means that job role could serve an extra 4 to 12 months in prison for the tax violation.
