"Big Brother 13" contestant Richard Donato left the show unexpectedly Thursday, CBS confirmed to The Associated Press.

Donato, nicknamed "Evel Dick," told the network he left for "personal reasons." CBS would not elaborate, but said the issue would be addressed on Wednesday's episode.

The reality series, whose 13th season premiered Thursday night, assembles a group of strangers in a house where their every move is filmed. They compete for a $500,000 prize, with one contestant voted out each week.

Donato had returned to the series after winning its eighth season in 2007, along with his daughter Daniele Donato, also a former winner. The two had been estranged for two years before Big Brother 8, but returned as a team for Season 13.

"Evel Dick" is the oldest winner in the history of the series, having been 44 at the time. Daniele Donato is the youngest winner to have won a prize on the series, having been 21.

It will be interesting to see how Evil Dick's departure from the BB House changes the dynamics of the people in the BB House.
