I colored my hair like 6 months ago to a dark honey blond color and I have been itching to dye my hair red. I was wondering if a red would not mix well with the color that is already there and what type of dye is good for acheving a light auburn shade?

Since your hair is already dark blonde, it should be pretty easy to go a darker red. Your biggest problem will likely be that since you already got it to blonde, your hair is more porous now, so even if you use permanent you will likely find that the red washes out pretty quickly. Chose a color based on the hair swatch, but still test strand to make sure its going to come out even, and a color you like. (Test stranding will also help you adjust the timing if you find the roots and ends are coming out different shades). Good luck!
