Hi everyone - I'm Karen, just joined.  What a great place for information.

I have a question and hopefully someone can help me.

I have very fine hair - lots of it, just baby fine.  I had hot fusion extensions (Remi hair) put on two days ago.  The length is down to my bra.  I haven't washed it yet.  My question is I think it's thin - it doesn't look very thick at all.  I've looked at the individual pieces of hair and there doesn't seem to be a lot of hair in each one.  The person who put them in for me didn't really cut or style my hair, there just "hanging there", she did cut one side about 2 inches in from my face down to chin length but that's about it.  When I pull it back into a pony tail it's only about 2 inches in circumference.  Can I have more strands put in?  Any suggestions?  Many thanks - look forward to hearing from you.  Karen

It probably is thin and maybe she was being mindful of the hair not looking like yours. Have you ever thought about getting a lace front. Also you don,t want to put in too much strands. Your hair will pop because it is fine. I would have washed your hair first with a volumizing shampoo to make the hair feel and look fuller and then I would have gave you a treatment(protein) to strenghten the hair for that particular service. ! , C(fn``a"a --0,`r ,8, (%!) -%$ -) %-0b

when you went to see her did you ask her for volume, length, or to just make yours look normal? when was originally getting the strand by strand method, I only wanted enough hair to fill in the thin areas.....not necessarily a full volume look. You can definitely put more in but you should ask your stylist....is she concerned about damage to your own hair? My stylist won't put in a ton in my hair b/c my hair is fragile and cannot take a full head of extensions like some people who have thick healthy hair that mainly want length. How many strands do you have?
