I just thought I'd post my little hair journey for the last...3? months.

went from all black, stripped it.




did a style called 'cruella'

bleached it once, had extensions for a while




bleached it again




gave up on the white, so i dyed it pink insted
(halloween!)




then turquoise (sry, its the best pic i have)



that faded



did more purple/blue


bleached it, got the color out
toned it, got white
oh how i loved it white




got bored with that
dont have any pictures of the stripping/bleaching process of the other side

hair right now



i quite love it, im going to cut the back even shorter soon
and right this very second im redoing the pink that's faded.


i just thought i'd throw a hairjourney in with all the advice posts and whatnot

..idk =]

Wow, that's pretty amazing. Did you do all the colourings yourself? It's amazing that your hair's in such great condition after all the stripping and bleaching. What products did you use?

In all honesty, my hair isn't in that great of condition, but it was up until my last expedition to the colors (impatience with time between bleachings killed it pretty much) but as far as my products go

biotera color care shampoo and conditioner
biolage hydrating cream
sleeping with cholesterol in once every two weeks
john freida antifrizz serum
chi shine infusion spray
and got2b 'double shot'

i think thats everything i use frequently haha

and yes, I do all the color myself.

I totally love your guts and how you can pull that off. I always wished I could be so daring as to go all those wild colors. However I don't think I would ever be able to look good doing it. I LOVED the first photo of your hair and I even really liked the CRUELLEA look, hot. And I loved the pink... hell I liked them all.

ROCKIN! I wish I had photos of all my hair things. Mine not so daring, black, pink, blonde... and every shade inbetween those three. Haha. :)

Now I'm jealous.  I used to be able to get away with awesome stuff like that and I wish that I could still do cool and interesting stuff to my hair.  Alas, the insurance industry is a little too uptight for that :(

That's pretty much the reason I change my hair as often as I do, while there ARE jobs that do allow some wierdness, alot don't, so I'm overcompensating now, for what I can't do later hehe.

I did my rainbow! It's a bright orange/red in the front with the colors of the rainbow striped horozontally in the back, I'll put up pictures tomorrow.=]

i cant understand how u still have hair on your head!! im also addicted to crazy colours but my hair holds colour really well.. i dyed my hair blue amonth ago and do you think it would come out? nope.. my hair is sooooo ruined atm.. your very lucky!

My hair holds color alright, but I'm a slave to cholesterol treatments and whatnot, so my hair thanks me for that :)

I don't know really. Since Hot Topic is no longer going to carry Special Effects (to answer the other question), it was on sale for like 6 bucks a bottle. So probably..hm..I know i'd have well over 100$ worth of dye if I had bought all my pretty colors at regular price, well, whatever 15 x 11 is, haha, plus my bleach, which was 16 since i got a 1lb container. Then my permanent dyes and developers were between $2-7 bottles a piece, then if you want to get into things like mixing bowls, tint brushes, and foil and whatnot, add a few more bucks.

I feel better about my addiction if I don't actually add it all up :)

but it's still wayyy cheaper then a pro doing it

yeah, i was trying to figure it out again and i said forget it.

95% of my money, i realized, i spend on stuff to alter my body.
whether it be hair dye or body jewelry.

i found it amazingly humorous honestly, but hey, i'm self teaching/learning so i feel like every 20 i put down on hair products just makes it more obvious i WILL go to cosmetology school ya know?

How did you get the rainbow color so even? Did you do it in foil. I'd love to do some multiple colors, but I've never used foils on myself. It seems like it would be hard to reach and do what I needed to do. Wikked pics! Everybody asked me how i got it so even, I just had a mirror in my hand, and used another mirror to see the back and hoped I did it straight. I actually redyed my hair last night and foiled parts myself (Ill put pictures up soon), I wouldnt probably do it but since its semi perm. color I use I don't care if it bleeds through a bit haha. If you were wanting to do multiple permanent colors. I'd do the darker color color first, using the cholesterol to keep the other parts uncolored. Wash with uuuberrr cold water, shampoo once,  then do the other color, with cholesterol over the other parts etcetc.

OOH I Love the colors My Favorite Blue on your eyelids & hair !  What eye makeup is that HEHE ?  If you ever get clippers don't cut ALL your beautiful hair off because it is addictive! I just clipped my friends hair in steps today but around his sides  & back.
Back when cyndi lauper was "it" I had dyed the sides of my steps a vibrant red color as I had backstage passes.... That same day we had a sub in biology & I was kicked out of class (as she didn't know me) and she felt i looked like I was shot grrrrr... I have blond hair so it really showed up/ like plat/blood red...  Hmph.Embarrassed

What brand of dyes are you using and also what brand of bleach. I did mine tonight and it didn't turn out at all.

I'd love to know what you use.

I use Quick Blue bleach by Loreal, Pure White Devloper.

and the dyes, for permanent I always use (from sally) Clariol, not like I use permanent much anymore but still. and for dyes, special effects, manic panic, sometimes raw, or beyond the zone.

oh, and I have a better picture of my hair now,
my friend wouldnt leave me alone
so I got a picture of the top of my head Sleepy





and I'm really lost as what to do with my hair.
I like matching, alot, when it comes to dances.
I'm wearing a black and red corset and a black tutu-like skirt for my schools valentines day dance
and it looks..wierd with my hair.
so i might be doing something slightly differennt.

I was thinking about that, but red is one of my less loved colors.

So I decided I'm gonna play around with food coloring and see if I can get a red that will match my corset, but only for that night.

Yeah haha. I have a RAW semi permanent black
but I couldn't bring myself to do it.
I think the black would depress me, I've gotten used to bright hair.

im stuck.
i dont know what to do.
my hairs starting to fade really bad in the back, and way unevenly so it looks gross. and the teals starting to look terrible, i just threw some purple Manic Panic over it last night for a dance so it didn't look horrid for pictures but it still looks icky. I don't want to bleach, maybe a soap cap, but still, id rather not. I don't know though. Suggestions would be amazing.

Haven't posted in a while gah. Okay, so I decided to stick with pinks and purples for the sake of the fact it matches my makeup and whatnot. Though I'm almost out of purple so I'm not sure what i'll do when I am. These are from a couple weeks ago, I actually have dye on my head as I type this but whatever. I got some human hair extensions and made my own clip ons. Theyre not super difference making, but I just wanted some length on the side so I like them
