Can you help me? About 6 weeks ago, I had my light blond hair colored a darker blonde to match the new 22 inch extentions made with 100% human cuticle hair from Russia. These were attached using copper hair loc beads. I was advised by the stylist at the time to use a good kelating shampoo, specifically Pureology antifade hydrateshampoo. Long story short I now have green hair!!! It's the same color as asparagus. My theory is that the kelating shampoo is causing copper to leach from the beads and is being absorbed by hair. Since my hair is blond or yellow and the copper that is released is blue. And, yellow and blue make green. What do you think? And more importantly how do I fix it, besides not using the kelating shampoo anymore? The shampoo has also caused the glue on the tips of the extentions to break down. willow spring2007-11-18 15:58:14

Fix it by going back to the person who did your extensions, and tell them you expect it fixed for free.

HI! I have been a certified hairloc stylist since 2005--- You do not need kelating shampoo? --- Make sure you use a shampoo that has NO silicone wax or oils in it--- no organic either---some clients of mine have slid too much with the oils-----but the water you have at your home can sometimes make the hair under neath the copper ring green...you wouldnt see that tho, ONLY the stylist would! Make sure the stylist is using the actual rings from hairlocs!!!!!!! Ask to see an invoice on the rings, they are expensive if they are the REAL thing! I have seen so many stylist say they are doing hairlocs, but don't use the actual product! Check everything and go back to the stylist to make sure they can fix it--- I have never had a problem with them since I have been doing them for 4 yrs now!
take care your hair!
