No true reason. They just happened to be standing around talking and Elia (the female chef) started talking about how she always wanted to shave her head. One of the other chefs said, "if you shave yours, I'll shave mine". And that is how the whole thing started. It was just something she always wanted to do.
 
I think at some point we all(girls) wish we could just shave our heads and start all over LOL!!
