Hi Girls!

I am back from my vacations in France and I have lots of hair stuff to share w/ you!!

I have experienced the seamless hair from Glamourhair, that, in terms of texture, is totally different from the silky straight hair they sell, that is so beautiful. The hair was coarse and not so shiny or silky after a few washes.

I honestly thought it would get ugly faster, I got rid of it after 2 weeks.

A huge waste of money though! The seamless technique is amazing in itself, and very discret.

I had placed an order of two Bohyme silky straight hair, in 18', colors 24 and 16 on Ebonyline.

Ebonyline told me they were out os stock in 24 and they shipped the 24 color hair with a little delay (problems w/ UPS I think), so I missed the package and left for France without my new hair!

From there I ordered from this website www.hairandextensions.com.

I ordered two pieces of hair, color 24 and color 14B (a nice wheat blonde) in Bohyme Gold Silky Straight, that I paid around $120 each I think. I ordered them with international extra fast shipping to do a new install asap!!

When I received the package, I thought the hair looked absolutely great, but it felt different to the supposedly Bohyme hair they sell on Glamourhair.com, that I have worn and that has been the best hair I have ever had so far.

I put it on and after only a week, I started to have minor tangling, I was very surprised because I had read carefully all the reviews on Bohyme hair on the forum and everybody loved this hair. After 10 days I had a giant afro at the end of everyday, even though I was ironing my hair every morning to straighten them.

I really don't understand, the hair was dull, and extremely frizzy, so fast.

I couldn't stand it anymore, the volume of my hair just doubled no matter what by the end of the day, and I didn't have the silky feeling of new hair.

I was so disapointed, another $300 for crappy hair.

So I thought, either I am too picky about hair or this hair just wasn't genuine Bohyme hair.

I have taken it out and I put in a mix of this crap hair and the leftovers I had in hair from Glamourhair, and it is very nice now, because I have just a little quantity of this bad so-called Bohyme hair.

I am a little skeptical that this www.hairandextensions.com company sold me fake Bohyme on the other hand because I received the hair in the real Bohyme package w/ all the tags attached, the company seems respectable and they even sent me a feedback email to be sure I was satisfied.

I really don't understand.

I am back to the US now and I have received the Bohyme hair from Ebonyline.com I had previously ordered in color16.

I'll see how it holds, and if this hair gets puffy and frizzy also, I will know Bohyme hair isn't for me, and if it holds great, then I will deduct that the hairandextensions.com company probably sent me copies of Bohyme, or just unusually bad batches.

What do you guys think of my little story?

Have you ever ordered Bohyme from www.hairandextensions.com and experienced problems w/ the hair?

Do you think I got fake Bohyme hair?

I ordered the hair by sophia, italian wave in your colors and bohyme straight. My client had no problems with it. She shampoo's at least once or twice or week. I will post pics as soon as I can.

Oh no!!! I just ordered from this company last week and they sent me an email next day saying they don't have the 22" FR in machine weft anymore, so I then sent them an email back to please credit my paypal account, Well so far I have heard nothing from this company. I have called, emailed and still nothing? Hope all goes well, haven't had very good luck lately. I then orderd from Sherrie, I know her customer service is excellent!!! wow what a week.! unless its something to do with mixed up hair in bohyme packages..i had that a few weeks ago with some hair i bought from amanda it was totally diffrent and amanda looked into it and it had been mixed up or something....bless amanda she refunded the money i paid for the hair xx,!%(

Yes it did chick, I got some too, we were shocked but cos we know our hair we knew something was wrong. The company refunded me for it all so there were no qualms on my part, but we're on about the UK stuff not the USA x @`d` $%re ,( (b` $$,b` .2 )!-!,$!,!-,%(@r '.

Boy, I am conflicted, either it's a mistake and I should still trust Bohyme name or it's not and should go on buying hair from Glamourhair in the future, they apparently sell Bohyme hair though, and it's the best hair I have ever had so far... Mmmm

They just sent me my full refund for hair that was not available!!!!

Hey I think I remember customer service telling me Bohyme has a 90 day guarantee!!!! yes any problems and they will refund your money or give you new hair. I would call them and see what they say?

frenchie, my experience with Bohyme silky straight has always been that it is extremely straight. It does not poof or get big. Actually the one thing tht bohyme straight does NOT have is volume and I usually have to install more than other textures to get volume. So gettin poofy or big, or doubling in volume is cetainly NOT typical or the norm for bohyme silky straight.

I am positive that glamourhair seamless wefts are not Bohyme hair but the wefted hair is Bohyme with their own private label.

Hi Sherrie,

That's exactly what I thought and understood, that Bohyme was silky and not puffy at all but rather the contrary!

I am sure the Glamourhair Seamless isn't Bohyme because it's not great stuff, but the wefted hair probably is because the quality of this hair is the best I have experienced so far.

They have the same pics and text than Bohyme, the color rings are identical too.

So what do you think is the problem w/ the Bohyme hair I received from hairandextensions.com?

Have you ever experienced terrible Bohyme hair piece like that before?

Which are the companies you order Bohyme from that you trust the most please?

somehow someway I wonder if this hair was mislabeled or something. Bohyme hair is asian and european blends. The silky straight in my opinion is either all asian or mostly asian. Asian hair is usually very straight and without alot of volume...very sleek. So that is not common for it to poof or get big.

Another thing to think about. When I first moved to my current residence, a year and a half ago. For about 6/8 months, no matter WHAT brand of hair I used it all turned to crap, even Bohyme didnt last like it should. When I finally started listening to some reviews I had seen of shower filters, it finally dawned on me. I moved from the country, a house that had a water softener....to a condo in town with city water. I had a very HIGH chlorine content. I went out and got a shower filter and was AMAZED at the difference it made. Along with switching to non sulfate shampoo. Ive had a huge differnce in how hair wears.

ive had the same problem with the bohyme hair and i bought from a different company i think i got a bad batch because other members here were complaining that they got a bad batch of blonde bohyme hair at the same time(! ! Sifd`dt`a %)2, ` $ ( ` &$ ,!!$))(!!

My intuition also is that I didn't get Bohyme hair but some other brand and they put the wrong label on it or something.

The so-called Bohyme I got didn't look at all like asian hair, but rather like low quality indian hair, IMO, but I am not a world expert either.

Thanks for your comments Sherrie. I now use non sulfate organic shampoos -and my Mom too now!!- and I saw a diference quite fast.

I intend to use a shower filter later on too, but I don't think it's the problem. I had this terrible afro-like hair when I was in France and then I took the crapy hair out and put in a mix of my old Glamourhair silky straight weft + a little bit of this bad hair and this hair kept on looking great, even in France, or now that I am here too.

So I don't think it's a problem of quality of water, but good idea though!

When I first ordered the Bohyme hair it was from Ebonyline, they told me they were out of stock in 24 color and added that the Bohyme manufacturer in the us was out of stock as well in regular wefted blonde hair.

So then I turned to Hairandextensions.com, and ordered w/ a very expensive international shipping option ($60) to get the package in 2 days in France.

My guess is that they were maybe out of stock too in the colors I wanted and decided to put another brand of hair w/ a Bohyme label on it, because they had to send it quick to me, I don't know though.. I just think it's weird that on the two pieces of Bohyme hair, they were both identically ugly!

I hate to put so much money on hair and be disapointed in the end!

I had a bad luck with Bohyme too. But my problem was that after few washes the hair got so bad, felt like a wire. When it was installed it looked very good. I don't know if I just used a wrong shampoo or something. Usually I don't use cheap ones. Can anybody give any care advice on Bohyme?

Definitely something wrong there chick, that's got to be a bad batch. You can use any shampoo on bohyme, blimey, sometimes when I've got no shampoo I use the hubby's shower gel on it but finish off with goldwell conditioner, I never scrimp on that but I've never had any problems with it x @`d` $%re ,( (b` $$,b` .2 )!-!,$!,!-,%(@r '.

I think Sherrie's got some great advice (I reposted it below in case you missed it) I now only use non-sulfate freee shampoos too and eventually I will be replacing my showerhead with a shower filter too..

Well I did use a non sulfate shampoo, which, it's true, seems to make a big difference.

I really think something was wrong from the hair or probably the company, that put the wrong tag on it or something...

Just as I get ready to order product or do a new install, I find myself reviewing all the posts to see if there's something new I should consider. It is so helpful to find advice from real users of the different products - hopefully to avoid making the same mistakes as others. Thank you for the sharing and caring opportunity

I've been using the same wefts of Bohyme Gold 24" Silky Straight since May 06 - 3 installs with no tangles or other problems. Sherrie didn't sell this at the time I purchased it, but I would trust her Bohyme quality to be as good or better as what I purchased elsewhere. Both Sherrie and AMM have great products and their knowledge and customer service are unbeatable

Shampoo: I use non-sulfate, but it doesn't seem to matter which brand I use. Price, availability and fragrance are what varies. Always heard that you should dilute your shampoo so I mix 50 - 75% water into one of those bottles meant for applying hair color (long nose on it). It is easy for me then to apply the diluted shampoo directly on my scalp between the wefts, rub that gently in. I just do a squirt over the long extensions - because it's not like they are greasy afterall!

Conditioner: This is where they tell you to spend your money because some actually penetrate and nourish the hair - if left on for the suggested time whereas shampoo is usually in your hair for a brief period. When my own hair was waist length I was told not to use certain products (like Pantene) because there would be a residue built up . . . so I didn't. But guess what I use on my extensions? Yep, Pantene Deep Fortyfing Treatment. I don't care for their new "Restoratives" line as well. This was the only product that worked for me on some of my first crappy quality hair extensions, to make them less tangly. Seems like there is a plastic quality from the stuff (silicone-like?) that helps maintenance on the extensions. Downside . . . I'm sure it's not the best thing to use on the natural hair, so I keep it away from my own length as much as possible. I'm sure it would be hell on the protac (?) users as well, if this got near the taped wefts.

Shower filter sounds like a great help! Frenchie, you just could not have gotten the true Bohyme. The post above that refers to Bohyme's 90 day guarantee - maybe they will help you on this - best of luck!

I think what matters w/ Bohyme is to pay attention, who you got it from, try to order w/ a respectable person/website.

I emailed hairandextensions.com about the problems I have experienced w/ their hair and they didn't email me back.

I asked about 90 days garanty and nothing came in return.

One company may be out of a certain color while another may have it in stock. Just because one place doesn't have this color and hairandextensions does, doesn't automatically mean they took a Bohyme tag and stuck it on some other hair.

I started using Bohyme about 3 years ago, and for a year I didn't have any problem with them. (I used www.superhairfactory.com)

but then as I continued buing the hair, the quality dropped so bad, thet I finnaly stopped buing them.

Now if I have to order bohyme for one of my clients, I make sure that I get Hand tied ones.I never had any issue with those. I know they are more expensive, but it's really worth it!!!

Also as I'm getting better at doing extensions, I figure out that bohyme hair is not good after all ( only for asian and african-american ppl)

I used to wear them ,but now when I look at the pictures of myself from 3 years ago, I can really tell what a terrible extensions ,and fake looking they are!!!

NOT for European kind of hair !!!

I got my Bohyme in the original Bohyme package, and now I look like a nuclear blast. Maybe some packages are good, but if they have 50/50 that sucks. Never again!

NO offense to anyone!!!

I didn't say ONLY for african american hair!!!

I have many of my Af-AM friends, that are wearing bohyme, but only if they are saw in to their corn rows and none of their own hair shows thru. And if they got good batch of hair, it'll easly last them for 4 months.

And as for asian hair, CLEARLY that, there is no problem to blend asian extensions, with their hair.

Well I asked for a refund, didn't get any answers!

That's what makes me question the quality of the customer service.

I don't question the quality of Bohyme hair, I am just afraid -not accusing anyone ok?!- that it's counterfeited by some chinese companies maybe, and then sold to american/european retailers as genuine Bohyme.

I think I'll have to be picky with who I order the hair from, that's why I ordered two Bohyme wefts from Sherrie, because I know I can totally trust the origin of the hair, she ordered from the Bohyme company directly.

And then I think ordering only handtied weft is a good idea too.

Frenchie you should contact Bohyme directly. I know that Bohyme takes false claims and reviews of their product VERY seriously.. if you TRULY suspect the vendor is carrying product that is not genuine Bohyme hair you should let Bohyme know.. %! ied t`` $( b !, bb ,(,% ,%,!(%-,-- Bb ,

Hopefully they will respond to your request for a refund. Sometimes, bad hair happens to good people and good companies. All you can do is inform them that you are disatisfied with the quality of the product, and if the retailer does not respond to you and offer an explaination or remedy to the quality issue you can always contact the manufacturer.

Frenchie!!!!! I just talked to them and he said no problem getting your money back!!! and Yes Bohyme has a 90 day guarantee... He is emailing me the address to send it back to and they will credit your paypal or credit card or ?????? His name is Paul and he said they have about 15 people working there.... I talked to a guy named Paul at hairandextensions.com... He was very nice and had no problem with you returning the product and you getting a full refund!!! And then I asked them again about the 90 day guarantee and he said yes! Bohyme has a 90 day guarantee... here is the number 877-725-4354... He was trying to give me the address to send it back to, but I could not understand his broken English so I asked him to email it to me.

Took my Bohyme out this morning. Horrible experience. I guess it's true that silicone washes out and all you left with is tangled hair.

Okay.. so I just don't feel like playing this silly cat & mouse game today.. Some newbie comes here and pretends to know nothing about extensions, or some newbie comes here claiming that they had a bad expereince with Bohyme hair.. ANd thanks again Rocket for calling hairandextensions.com.

I received the email they sent you and unfortunately, they want the hair back "in mint conditions".

Of course I bought the hair to wear it, I have cut the wefts and thrimmed the hair, it's been washed, dried etc.

I have worn it for about 10 days I'd say so I guess I am screwed!!!

I find it a little weird that this website say they have a 90 days guarantee, but they seem to want the hair back, never worn, with its bag+tags...

I will email them back about that to ask if I can still send back hair that I have cut and worn, and if I can still get a refund, but now I doubt it.. we'll see!

You should call them and speak to a live representative.. I've heard nothing but good things about Hair & Extensions.. I'm sure they can work something out for you.

I have made 3 purchases from HairExtensions101 and have had nothing short of EXCELLENT customer service.

I have bought both Bohyme hair and supplies from HairExtensions 101 and on all occasions the products arrived quickly and in perfect condition! I ordered some shampoo and Sherrie taped the top of the bottle perfectly so there was no chance of leakage. I am SURE she spends a lot of her time packaging all orders the same way. It really shows how much HairExtensions101 cares about their products and customers.

I will second that!!!! Sherrie is beyond professional!!!! I have never had a company so helpful and go that extra mile that hairextensions101.com does. I have bought not only the Bohyme I'm currently wearing but also my Pro-tac tape, clips, Aleeens's Frey stop, and mis. other products and everything is very nicely packaged and shipped in a very timely manner. (and she does not over charge for the shipping like some companies do) She is truly an amazing person!!! and everyone here knows that!!!! Hey Frenchie call them anyway!!!... If they have a 90 day guarantee (which he said they did) then I would imagine that would be after wearing the hair!! When I called them "Paul" was very helpful!!! and if you tell him what happened with your hair and they stand behind there product then that means even after wearing it you should get a refund if product is not performing like it should.

So first I want to reassure Cait, I bought some Bohyme hair from hairextensions101, from Sherrie and I haven't worn the hair yet.

The reason I ordered Bohyme hair from her is that, after my unfortunate experience with hairandextensions.com, I wanted to get Bohyme hair from a company that I knew and trusted.

Hairextensions101 is a trustworthy company, and Sherrie has done more on this forum and her own forum, to help girls on hair extensions that probably any other members.

Then I wanted to say thanks again for your advice to call the company directly, I will call them and see if they agree to receive my hair back, after having been cut and worn.

I'll let you know what happens!

OK girls, I called hairandextensions.com soooo many times today they were always busy, even sent them an email, and I finally got to talk to mister Paul. He was very nice but told me that an exchange of Bohyme hair or a refund of the hair couldn't happend if the hair has already been worn.

I have cut and worn about 2oz of both wefts I got. Oh well, I kinda knew it anyway!..

The company that would exchange or refund hair that's been worn would go bankrupt!..I don't blame them!

Hi Frenchie1!!! this was sooo bugging me how can a company say that they will guarantee a product for 90 days and then want it back without using it!!!! that didn't make any sense. I thought what kind of guarantee is that!!!!!! So I called them again to inform them that a product has to be used to see if it's any good and Paul said that you can send it back used!!!! He said they will not refund your money but they will replace the product!!!! so yippieeeeeee you can send the hair back and get new hair!!!! maybe you just got a bad batch!!!!

I feel a little confused to be honest. I talked to the same guy as you, Paul, I have been very clear about the situation and he said that they don't take back hair that's been worn, and then he said he would talk about that to his superviser and call me back or send me an email to inform me.

I get the weird feeling that if I call Paul one more time he's gonna change his mind! Oh well!... I wish I heard it myself or got one single email confirming that I could send back used hair, just to have a "proof" or something!

I think I am going to send them the hair back anyway!
