Hi everyone~

I have a few questions that I am hoping someone might be able to answer.

I am considering getting some extensions installed this month...

Are there certain types of extensions that are typically more gentle on your hair than others~ Or does it basically all come down to the skill of the person installing them, home care and the removal?

Also~ What about haircolouring~ Can you touch up your roots when extensions are in?

Thanks in advance for your help!

It really all depends on the skill of the stylist installing them and taking them out. I had a great stylist but still had some damage. We have all had different  reactions to each method. I personally would not do fusion becuase of the thinning it caused on my hair, how hard it was to maintain, blending isssues, and the chemicals used (glue to attach, and acetone to take out) . I now have a sew-n I love. Protac is another gentle method. Just do some research on this board and dont rush to a decision until you know are ready to accept the risks of that method.  You can touch up your roots with extensions or even dye some extension hair. If you have fusion it is advised not to get color on the bonds becuase they will deteriorate faster.( $ )`d`dab$ -$*("b -.0bb %:( !,-

hi chick, im a big fan of shr***ies and remi bohyme hair!! i have naturally fine dark brown hair that is bleached to death around the front and i always have this method and have had no damage to my own hair at all.ive had microrings too which i liked as much too. i use both of these methods on my clients too and they are very happy with them and come back time after time to me. the one thing that is very important is the extensionists skills as even these methods installed wrongly can cause a lot of damage!! thats why id never trust anyone else but my old mucker amanda8beechwood always does mine for me cos she is an excellent extensionist!!8 ( Aafna

So many times I have been on this board and wished I lived closer to many of the people who post on here so that I could get them to do my hair colour and now extensions!
