How to Brush
Brushing is very important when training your hair to get a 360Wave pattern. It is the most important step in getting waves. Pomades and hair care products are all secondary. You can use all the pomades and gunk you want, but if you don't brush the correct way it will not help you get 360Waves. Below is an illustration of how to brush. Please pay close attention to the angle and direction of the brush. If you have been brushing different than the illustation and have waves, good for you. It still does not change how the correct way should be. In order to get perfect 360 rotation of waves you must brush in a circular direction as well. Here's an example..........

As you can see brushing is the key not pomades or creams.

Soft to Medium bristle brushes is recommended, but a hard brush is sometimes useful as well. !-) Pi d`d ra %! b` +$$` /4 %)%! -, $(% `r *$

Lately instead of taking photos I've been making short video clips of my waves, If I find a good reliable site I can upload the videos to I might make a brushing video and post it........

I Have Soft Hair wat kind of brush should i use right now im using a medium brush how long will it take for my waves to come in? MY Hair was real curley when i let it grow then i braided it now i cut it im tryin to get some waves. My Method Is Murrays Lite Pomade Brush for 15 minutes durag it for 1 hour den durag it and i keep repeatin it. Would my waves come in wit diz method?

seeing as tho u have soft hair, use a soft brush. it will take only prolly a week or a lil more b4 you even see a few lines, and thats wit constant brushing. u wont get them over night. u should brush more than 15 mins and worry less about the du raggin. (i hope u dont mean reapeating ur meth each day, cuz ur not gonna get newhere like that.) id jes du rag at night if i were u. itll take months b4 u start to spin. |

yeah he is right, soft brush and contant brushing is da key son brush
for like 1hr-1 1/2hr of brushing a day dont brush an hr completly, break it up-like 25 mins in da morning and 35 mins at night, or jus brush ur hair for 10mins every hr Sabd deb` %(4` ($ `` " !,, %!$)

i dunno if i should brush with the handle facing forward or backward..
would the pattern would be different for either way?

^your question has been answered a couple of times already, here it goes again, it doesn't matter which way the handle is facing, it won't affect your pattern, and yes you can switch up.

Use the carrot creme i didnt have any untill i used it and it was only like a day after i used it you have to wait till your hair is real dry then put it in and start brushin it will work because it was taken me forever P@AH! ! ! !! 0 " ," "2 -,$% )

yo...the sides and back are comming in more and more...
only thing is...its more on the left side.... and I am right handed..
I got a shape up 2day & and my barber how 2 brush on the sides...he gave me the same info.. imma keep up the method.. but its madd hard brushin my right side & gettin the right side to 360 -% Caf `d `d $((,b /4 b` $ $- -%, %!$ $,bp $.

well i dont know about u guys, but since i sleep on my right side the waves arent as good there as on the left side. maybe if i slept on my back then my right side would be better

this sounds plausible. b4 i really got into waves, i slept on the back of my head, and i had waves there. crazy i know! but i guess if ur a wild sleeper, it has an effect on ur waves. im like a statue so my hair doesnt really mess up. |

im a sound sleeper, so when i lay down, my head stays in one spot for the most part. layin down on that one spot is basically the equivalent of me wearin a du rag on that one spot. there's constant pressure on it. |

iiiight....I see 3 peuwny lil waves on my right side....big improvement (sarcasticly said) That was exciting to see, but it sucks cuz, its like on my right...the top is connected to the side..
and i know yall said that it doesnt matter which way the handle is facing as long as its tilted & brushed at an angle..
but it seems as tho when the handle is facing forward, i get better results on my FRONT Right side... but kinda behind my ear BACK right side, I have to face the handle backward or my wrist will feel funny while um brushin! does that happen to anyone else here?
but anyhow...i'm making progress on my right side i guess...
only thing is I gotta switch from front to back when it comes to my handle, and make sure that i look in the mirror when i do my sides & back!
I dunno if the right is gunna 360..maybee my right side wasnt used to me brushin it like that & its re-adjusting itself, but I guess i should keep switching from front to back when it comes to my handle, and make sure that i look in the mirror when i do my sides & back.

as long as u are comfortable and still able to brush, do that. wether it be tilt the handle one way, or even switch hands. be proud of those 3 lines. they'll get better as u keep brushing. good luck to you man. |

Im new 2 da game, i was looking at the brushing chart and it helped me out a lot.Is there 2 ways to brushing to get spinnaz,the way thats on da chart n circular motion. If u brush n a circular motion will it break da curl, if ur hairs use to bein brush a certain way. Im tryin 2 get my tsunami on! Lol.... HAFA D D BR B

his method is basically to cake your hair with a lot of pomade and
brush alot, and tie your du-rag down as tight as possible with out
discomfort.

one of these words, we're not too fond of around here... and ill give you a clue... its not HELP.
5-6 months. thas about the same amount of time as me. u jes gotta keep workin on it. brush more probably. and use some products that will make ur hair healthy, managable, and give your hair a healthy shine such as carrot cream.
jes keep up the work, it takes some longer than others to get to the point they want to be. but if you want want to get there, you have to brush MORE. |

lol. he was an original member in the 1st wave forum... the one that got shut down. that pic has been around floating on the boards for awhile. he moved to another wave site when this one got shut down. we still had his pic and refer back to it cuz its a good example of how to brush. |

the natural products such as carrot creme are all absorbed into ur hair and scalp letting ur hair look natural and your waves show. with certain things like pomade, u see alot of the product in your waves. pomade will make ur waves show pretty good, but i say natural makes ur waves more visible in the sense that you dont see alot of the product in your hair... you see straight waves. |

yeah i hear it does work yo. my boy had mad waves and he brushed down. I tryed brushin down and it made my waves go str8. I dont think brushin at an angle works for me. the3638738.675474537
