im using this thread to show my progress starting form 6-30-2005 and i
will continue to update whenever my waves improve. the first few pics
is of my hair after getting a jacked up hair cut from this barber in
jersey.
now the next pic was taken a week later

these were taken shortly after the last pic. still improving, and
brushing like crazy.*pay no attention to the date that is stamped on
the pic, with my camera the date resets itself whenever the batteries
is replaced*
about a week later and under different lighting. the lighting is key to getting your waves to stand out in pictures.

yeah i probably would, nawwww forget that, my waves is better than some of them dudes on there
and i got them in less time but to tell you the truth, i'm not trying
to be on the dreamteam, thats not a goal of mine, and shouldn't be
anybodies goal, plus there are dudes
on there that barely have waves, twista seriously need to kick some of
them dudes off and have them re-apply.
alright i'm now waiting for someone to give me a reality check....word to the wise don't drink and post

360SPINNA'S NEW WAVE METHOD
This is the method I used after I got that jacked up cut a month ago, as yall can see it works.
MATERIALS NEED:
1. 2 soft brushes and 2 medium brushes
2. A couple of du-rags
3. Carrot cream and doo gro
4. Shampoo and conditioner
5. A timer or clock
6. Facial cleanser
MORNING ROUTINE IN/OUT OF SHOWER:
*soft brush only*
1. Place your head under the flow of water and brush each section for 30seconds.
2. Rub in shampoo in the direction of your desired wave pattern and then brush in the shampoo for 1-2minutes each section.
3. Rinse out shampoo while brushing.
4. Rub in conditioner, brush in for 20sec each side and leave it in
until your done showering.
***shampoo/condition hair every 2-3days and on off days just brush in shower for a couple of minutes***
5. Use a towel to get rid of the extra water.
6. Apply Carrot cream in hair and brush each side for a minute, then du-rag it.
NIGHTLY BRUSHING ROUTINE:
1. Apply a generous amount of carrot cream to top of head.
2. With 2 medium brushes, brush the top of your head for 5minutes.
3. Apply generous amount of carrot cream to the back of your head.
4. With 2 medium brushes, brush the back of your head for 5minutes.
5. Apply generous amount of carrot cream to both of your sides.
6. With 2 medium brushes, brush both of your sides for 5 minutes.
7. Repeat steps 1-6 with a soft brush, and instead of brushing for
5minutes brush for 10minutes.
*steps 1-7 takes about 45minutes to complete. I usually do steps 1-7
twice.
8. When done brushing, clean your face with a facial cleanser.
*apply doo gro if your hair is thinning or if you want it to grow faster*
9. Throw on a fresh du-rag

^carrot cream is da bomb. Sportin waves gold was my favorite product for many years until I bought carrot cream a month ago. Its really really good. It holds well, gives your hair a healthy lookin shine, softens your hair, washes out easy, unlike most pomades. And so much more.

I THINK THE CHANGES I MADE TO MY METHOD IS WHAT HELPED ME OUT THE MOST.
1. CARROT CREAM
2. AND THE USE OF A SOFT AND MEDIUM/HARD BRUSH
ITS KNOWN THAT HARD BRUSHES GETS YOUR WAVES TO FORM FASTER, ESPECIALLY
WHEN YOUR HAIR IS LONG, AND THAT SOFT BRUSHES MAKES YOUR WAVES COME IN
SMOOTHER, AND STRAIGHTER. SO I THOUGHT TO MYSELF, WHY NOT INCORPORATE
THEM BOTH INTO 1 METHOD, SO THAT WHAT I DID. THANK GO I DID THAT.
CAUSE BEFORE I GOT THAT MESSED UP CUT, I STRICKLY WAS USING HARD
BRUSHES. THE FIRST COUPLE OF WEEKS MY WAVES WAS LOOKING NICE, BUT AFTER
THAT EVERYTHING STARTED TO GET CROOKED. I HAD A HEAD FULL OF WAVY HAIR,
WITH VERY LITTLE CONNECTION

^thanks, but you should try to make your waves even better than mine, like i said earlier im still not satisfied.
i'm growing my hair out for another month and gonna continue to do my
method, then cut it and repeat the whole process all over again. my
goal is to get my spinna's perfect.

THAT PIC WAS TAKEN A COUPLE OF MINUTES AFTER A #4 AGAINST
GRAIN CUT. I HAD TO GO AGAINST THE GRAIN CAUSE MY HAIR WAS TOO SOFT AND
KEPT LAYING DOWN AND WOULD NOT CUT. I WENT WITH A #4 CAUSE I WANTED MY
HAIR TO STILL
BE LONG SO I CAN GET MY WAVES DEEPER, I THINK THEY ARE GETTING THICKER

I looked at ya progression and it's hot and pomade always get's too sticky in ma hair, so i'm just askin how important is me brushin with a soft brush in the shower... what exactly does it do cause all I have now is some walgreen hard brush and if it's important will purchase a Two sided Fade tommorow

when i shop for brush i don't go by brand, i usually go by the feel of
the brush, i like my soft brushes to be soft but not to soft, and
thick compact bristles(meaning you can't see the spaces or the
individual rows, all the bristles are tight together)

i just got out da shower....beushed my hair while the water was runnin
ova it...shampooed it and brush the shampoo in..the brushed my hair
while i was rinsing the shampoo....the added some conditioner and
brushd for about 20 seconds...nowi gotta go wash it out...

Just got a cut yesterday and I took some updated pics. I'll post them later on today after I get off work. My left half of my head will soon be getting pretty close to perfection. I'm so proud.....lol....nowthe right side is a different story, but its coming along.

IIGHT HOMIE NO PROBLEM, I HOPE IT WORK GOOD FOR YOU AS IT DID FOR ME.
I NEED TO GET BACK ON THE GRIND CAUSE I'VE BE SLACKING OFF ALOT. IN THE
PAST 3WEEKS I ONLY BEEN BRUSHING LIKE 3-4 DAYS A WEEK. WITH WORKING ALL
THESE HOURS AT MY JOB AND NOW WORKING ON MY SITE TIME BE FLYING BY AND
I SOMETIMES FORGET TO BRUSH OR IT GETS TO LATE AND I HAVE TO GET SOME
SLEEP.

nice waves my friend...i used that carrot cholestoral that came wit tha creme and if you follow tha directions that stuff really works...it definatly works better that any other conditioner ive used. Before i got in the shower tonight..my hair was too long for visable waves in my mirror..step out 20mins later and the waves is back just like that lookin HEALTHY
Check that stuff out!. its amazing how such a great product can be found at WALGREENS. Watch when they catch on to this stuff..its gonna be like 4-5 bucks! |

True,some people don't understand that hair texture matters. All hair textures will not look the same. Respect your hair texture and work with it. Do what you can and strive to improve your waves, but you can't change your hair texture unless you get a kit/perm/texturizer.
