yes it does. but chose the kind wisely. there is the light fibrewax/gelwax that has medium hold and washes off easily. then there is the super hard kind that has mega hold but very hard to wash off.

most wax is used to shape your hair, but it doesn't last too long unless it specifically says its long-lasting
you can use hair spray to hold your finished style in place if your wax isn't "long-lasting" enough for you
