I was just coming here to write about the exact same thing. They were touting the H37 so much that I didn`t think there needed to be another one. Not sure what the differences are in ingredients. If anyone out there has both bottles let us know. Also would like to know what one you feel is working better. Thinking of buying a bottle of something when I find the money.

I`ve had my wife on H37 for 2 months and it doubled her groth rate to an inch a month and really made her hair healthier. It was time to reorder again and I called customer service with this question. The vague response I received is that Karen has been working on this for a few years with scientists and it`s just a better formula than H37 (which is made by someone else). The reason I decided to give Hairtopia a try (even though I`ve seen the possitive results of H37) is that Hairtopia is capsuls and are smaller than the H37 horse pills (my wife`s only complaint about H37). It sure would be nice if Karen would offer a diffinitive compairison between the 2 products rather than "mine is just better than theirs".
Looking Forward to a HairBotique Response....
Thanks,
Jeff B

Reply to message: viewthread.asp?forum=AMB%5FAP393429385&id=1357&page=1#17.1357.1 - 17.1357.1 I have been taking HF37 and just ordered the Hairtopia. The main reason I decided to try it was the fact that it`s capsuls and should be easier on the stomach. Sometimes HF37 upsets mine.... Anyway, I`ll keep you posted if I notice any differences. I just ordered it Friday and should be recieving it any day now.

Sorry I didn`t notice this thread or I would have jumped in earlier.
The main differences between H37 and HairTopia are:
1. HairTopia is in capsule form. Capsules break down in the stomach in a fraction of the time that tablets take. We did a test of H37 and HairTopia. We placed both in apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar has about the same acid content as your stomach. The HairTopia broke down in 20 minutes, the H37 took over 2 hours.
2. Since HairTopia is in capsules, there is no need for binders or fillers. These binders and fillers often contain known allergens and can cause upset stomachs.
3. HairTopia uses Niacinimide instead of Niacin. Niacinimide does not cause a "niacin flush" like niacin.
4. HairTopia contains no iron.
5. HairTopia contains MSM. MSM is known to have positive effects on hair growth.
Karen & I developed HairTopia as an alternative to H37 for people that wanted something different. Some people like capsules and some people like tablets.
No matter which you choose to use, we fully believe that you can`t go wrong and we continue to offer the 45 money back guarantees on H37 and HairTopia.
Hope this helps...

Many people will experience a hot flushing of their skin a few minutes after taking a vitamin with niacin. This will usually last 20-30 minutes and feels like a sunburn. It is totally harmless, however it freaks many people out.!$$ Ai Hader ,"@ )2 bp )0%%,!--

Hi,
My apologies for not posting some of this information sooner. I knew that Jeff posted info (see his post on this forum) but I wanted to share some of my additional insights.
I also apologize for how long this post is going to be, in advance. :-)
I personally started taking the H37 product almost 3 years ago. I have had really good results with it. For those that don`t know, I have been having thyroid and hormonal issues for almost 3 years as well. When my thryoid started acting up ( I go to a thyroid & a hormone specialist and take thyroid meds & use hormone creams) my hair started going nuts and my hair thinned, split and of course after all this hard work on my hair I was very upset. I started H37 and it helped tremendously. It was a noticeable change w/in 30 days. My hair got softer, grew better and stopped splitting and breaking. The dryness improved & when I stopped taking the H37 for awhile, the problems with my hair started to return. So I am positive that the H37 worked for me.
I want to make sure that you all know that I am trying not to be negative in any way about this topic because I love the H37 product. However, one problem that I had w/ H37 was that it only comes as a capsule and I have a terrible time swallowing larger pills. About 10 years ago I literally choked on a large Vitamin C tablet (someone grabbed me and beat on my back until I coughed up the vitamin, thank goodness, but it was very scary).
At any rate, I had to break the H37 into pieces in order to take them successfully because of my pill swallowing problems. Also, at times I would run out of the house and forget and pop the H37 Step Ones on an empty stomach. I got niacin flushes, which are harmless, but made me temporarily red and blotchy.
I tend to always have a lot on my mind and am a little forgetful. Because of the pill breaking hassle I would just get busy and forget to take all the pills every day as I should so that would frustrate me because I did believe the H37 product was working for me.
I was trained in college & on the job for many years as a systems analyst and systems engineer and I am very analytical by nature. So I am always wondering how to make something better. I started wondering what it would take to enhance the H37 to be more compatible with my needs.
I also received almost emails from people taking H37 who had their own opinions of what would be better or a good addition. We also would ask people who sent H37 back why they did not like it. Many of the people said the same things including difficulty swallowing the pills, the niacin flushing of digestive challenges that worried them. H37 can also turn your urine bright yellow which scared people even though we warned them that Vitamin B can do that.
Rather than make a decision to carry one or the other, because so many people love H37, we decided to just come up with an alternative. In no way are we saying that people should switch or that one product is better. They are very similar but each offers different advantages.
I did personally tell the H37 manufacturer in advance on the phone that we were going to be working on our own new hair vitamin. I also told the H37 mfg that we would like to continue to sell H37 forever, if they would let us, because we still believe very strongly in the product. In fact, we just received a shipment last week of enough H37 so that we can keep it constanly available.
While I was thinking about HairTopia I did tons of research. At one point I went to every health food store in Dallas and purchaed every hair vitamin I could find. I had big charts where I wrote down all the ingredients and amounts and compared everything. I looked at Nature`s Gate and Michael`s and Sunshine Vitamins. If it was on a shelf in Dallas or on the Net, I bought it and added it to my chart.
Of course this included the H37 and any topical treatments that you see advertised in the form of hair drops or similar.
What I discovered was that H37 was really right on track for making a difference in hair health. To really be successful with building great hair, skin and nails, I believe, as do most chemists that people need three things which are: Vitamins & Minerals, Amino Acids and Herbs. Of coure good diet, absence of alchol, cigarrettes and caffeine helps as well...but I digree....
I realized that H37 was a good starting point to build from. At one point I toyed with creating a hair product totally different but in reality, H37 is a great product. I just wanted it to be customized formy own needs & the needs of our visitors but wanted to have a similar formula.
So then I started analyzing every single ingredient and calling up chemists and experts to get their opinions. I also talked to the H37 manufacturer`s rep about many of my questions. He was very nice and gave me his take on the ingredients.
We did decide to go with a completely different chemist and manufacturer to guarantee that the product was an alternative and not just an identical or knock off formula in any way. Yes I wanted it to be somewhat similar, but also different and to incorporate all the things that I felt would help our many of the HB.com visitors that had not been successful w/ H37 for some reason or who wanted the options that I wanted.
Each of the three formulas (vitamins & minerals, amino acids, herbals) were reformulated and changed to meet my new specs. We also removed iron as a HairTopia ingredient because of my own research and my own opinion that although it was helpful, for some people it an be a problem and I wanted to make sure that the HairTopia was as safe as possible. Not everyone agrees with me. Not all the experts agree. However in the final analysis I went with my own feeling of what was best for this product after reading and researching and thinking about everything.
Also, I wanted a pill that was easy to swallow for me, that did not make people flush, or at least cut down on that possibility and had MSM (which is also heavily debated but I have been taking and believe helps for many things). I also wanted a different amino acid formula, different herbs and completely different packaging. I wanted special plastic sleeves to guarantee safety and no tampering since these were capsules and not tablets.
There is a famous herbalist in Dallas who owns a shop where she makes custom herbal formulas. I talked to her and two other herb experts about the herbal formula. There was some thoughts about the various ingredients and whether they are safe in small doeses. We made sure to be careful about examining each herbal ingredient.
We also talked to several manufacturers and chemists in different states...NY, Florida, Gergia and finally selected a company in Montana. They are known for the high quality of products that they product in the vitamin and nutrient world. They are an FDA approved lab.
I also emailed several consumer vitamin experts on the web that had emailed me about H37 and of the ones I emailed, only one woman declined to provide her feedback or help us with the new formula. Everyone else was willing to email me about this project and their opinions, which varied widely.
To be even more sure of the quality, since I am also a paranoid person, we secretly sent the HairTopia product to a lab in Texas that does testing of major vitamin and herbal formulas. This lab did a similar test for a major newspaper that was secretly investigating the quality of some vitamin companies like Natures Gate and Solray.
At any rate, the chemist at the independent lab told us that the HairTopia was of the highest quality and would be absorbed very quickly by the body (another option I wanted) and that what we were told was in the formula is actually in the formula. Which put my mind at rest.
After we heard that news, we started quietly taking the formulas and sending them to people to try that were willing to be testers. Although we had the vitamins in the HairBoutique.com in July, we did not start selling the product until November when I was absolutely sure that we had a high quality product that worked and was well received by our testers.
I have noticed several differences so far. When I take the vitamin portion of HairTopia on an empty stomach I do not get a flush. Although we still recommend taking the Vitamin portion of HairTopia on a full stomach, I am happy to know that the possiblity of flushing is now minimized.
Also, I take the capsules in my morning protein drink. I pop them open and pour the powder into the drink or juice and no worries about swallowing.
Because they are capsules and not tablets, there are no binders or fillers for the body to break down. If someone has digestive problems then they would do better with a capsule that does not have as many things to digest. However, some people prefer capsules that break down slower in the body.
We have priced the formulas identically even though the amino acid portion does cost more than the H37 amino acids to manufacture.
We are not selling HairTopia in order to get people to switch. It is like Coke and Pepsi. Some people love Coke, some love Pepsi and most groceries sell both, along with 7-up and Dr. Pepper. We also sell the Phytotherathrie vitamins and the Edwin Paul vitamins. They are other alternatives but completely different formulations that do not contain the advanced formulations of vitamins, minerals, ammino acids and herbals. Many people who sell H37 also sell Viviscal. We just happen to not carry that product as well for many reasons too long to go into here.
Many people get good results with the Phyto and the Edwin Paul. We are going to continue to carry all four of the vitamins options and may add more options in the future. I understand that some people need a heavy duty hair vitamin like HairTopia or H37 and some want a lesser formula like Edwin Paul`s VitaMane. There are a wide variety of products and formulas that are designed for hair health. What works depends on so many pesonal factors.
I apologize for all the confusion. I did not do a very good job of talking about all these factors which I should have done better. I hope I have made a good start towards clarifying some questions.
Please either post here for more questions or email me and I will do my best to answer what I can.
I am currently working on writing a special pamphlet that will go out with the HairTopia that explains a lot of this information. I think that will help clarify even more confusion.
If you have been taking H37 and love it, then there really is no reason to take anything else. If you don`t take either and want to try one, choose the one that has the options you prefer.
Again, we are not trying to get anyone to switch. Just offer options.....as we do with all the many products in the store. We just try to find the best products that we think offer the best range of selection.

I can understand now why there are two products that are similar but not the same and it is great that we now have more options.
