My hair is relaxed though, and for prom, i had did have some tracks (they were bonded w/glue) Could this had damaged my hair? Right now, my hair is in braids, because I`m trying to get it to grow out. can anyone PLEEZE give me some tips, and hair systems to help make my hair grow? And i dont think i`ll take any vitamins, i dont think my mom is too crazy about that.. LoL. But if I do here some testamonials, maybe i`ll look into them.... but PLeeZE! HELP!!! I`d really APRRECIATE it! =) ~*Tierra*~

I hope this can be of help. This is a lucky time for you because you can definately grow your hair past your shoulders with the products that they have available now.
I`m going to give you the advise that I used and that my clients used. After using this system for about 5 years my clients have hair to the middle of their backs and they have relaxed African American hair.
1. Shampoo your hair at least once a week, but perferrably 3 times a week. Believe it or not every day is best.
2. Use a botanically based shampoo, conditioner, and cuticle sealer every time you shampoo and condition your hair. I recommend Biosynthesis system. Biosynthesis.com I`ve seen it work. It is great because it has amino acids, proteins, and moisturizers. If not Biosynthesis, use a botanical producut because they grow your hair faster.
3. DON`T SLEEP ON COTTON SHEETS! This is most important. Cotton sheets are like velcro to your hair. Make sure your hair is touching satin and silk!
4. Take a hair vitamin supplement. It`s best if you take one that has a good amount of Biotin in it.
5. Have your ends trimmed every other relaxer touch up with SHARP JAPANESE SHEARS. You want it every other because it will accumlate length faster. You want Japenese shears because you trims will last longer.
6. Have a positive attitude and relax. Stress can create a chemical in your body that is very damaging to your hair
7. No permenent color and relaxer.
There may be a few more things but those are the most important things. Your hair is growing right now. Once you arrest breakage you will see your length accumulating.
P.S. No more tracks with glue. Its very damaging. try the braided technique instead

The rate of hair growth is ultimately dependent on genetics, but proper care is essential to promote further growth. My hair grows absolutely great- last year i had it cut really really short- the back was shaved and the rest was above my ears in a bob and now its to my shoulders. Everyone in my family has long and i guess good hair if you wanna call it that but I wash it everyday and try to stay away from blow drying. Blow drying is the correct word - cause it dries out your hair! I also use wax in my hair to keep it soft and shiny. Make sure the type of relaxer you are using is not breaking your hair off. Your hair might actually be growing, but if you`re using products and styles that are causing breakage, then you wont see any results. B&B hair growth moisturiser is great for hair growth. I saw excellent results in weeks! , Ra La Abd ,). @` !"0`r . , ,

Im sorry- i dont wash it everyday - i meant every other day or every 2 days. I used to wash it everyday but it dried my hair out. I use "k7 oil moisturizer" sometimes but now i mainly use hair wax and clear gel. Just a dab of that stuff works for a good month lol. , Ra La Abd ,). @` !"0`r . , ,

Carmela, the conditioner only washes sound like a good idea I think I will try it soon. I like the idea of washing my hair more frequently but I was nervous that it would dry out and break. My hair is very dry at the ends so I have to be careful. Also I have been shampooing my hair with Dr. Bronner`s Pure Castile Soap. It is great. A friend told me about it and I love it. It contains no damaging detergents it`s just a vegetable based soap that can be used on the hair and body. A 16 oz bottle runs about $5 and it is very concentrated so a little goes a long way. If you are in the New York City area it is pretty easy to find. I`ve even seen some of the Muslim brothers with oils selling it.
Happy hair growth everyone.

I just wanted to second the ACV idea. Most of the smell goes away after your hair dries. I clarify with an ACV solution about once a week-- between the wash and the conditioning finish. That way, the ACV smell is further masked by the usual "finishing" conditioner. $$ )'```ara $).,`` %*,`r !,,!-- ,,)-% ! " $4

I am confused about the conditioner only wash.
Do you do this on relaxed or natural hair? I have relaxed hair that I want to strengthen and grow. I also workout daily so I have to wash my hair at least every other day. What are you doing after the conditioner wash? If its relaxed, how are you styling it?

What up, I heard about this product called wildgrowth and I heard it really makes your hair grow. You can visit the website at:www.wildgrowth.com
You can also get box braids or micro breids about the size of A PENCIL or a little smaller and wear them for two months then take them out. And let your hair rest for 2 months then get it briade for another two months. and so on and so on But dont grease it that will clog your pores use oil or oil sheen, make sure before and after you get braids to keep it conditioned keep your briads moisterized
