So I have medium brown hair and I had it full of blond streaks but I was sick of the upkeep for the blond and i wanted to dye my hair just all brown. I went and bought Feria #59 which was honey brown and as I was dying my hair i noticed it turning red!!! They had put #55 (Cinnamin Red) in the box instead and I looked like a clown!!!! So i ended up going to a salon and she dyed ash brown over it making it dark marroon and i still hated it, so the same day i went to the salon store and bought the stuff to strip out the color. Well then it turned orange and i dyed brown over that making it an orange brown. Now i am wanting to dye it again for the final time to make it really brown. Is my hair going to fall out??? And if not, is hair moisture content fixable???

um are you sure it was the wrong color? it might have said cinnamon red on the tube, but it doesnt mean the color was wrong...sometimes they get them mixed up and put the wrong color in the wrong tube or use the wrong tube for the wrong color.....and a lot of times you cant tell what color it is just by looking at it, b/c hair dye when it comes outta the tube it can be any color. ive dyed my hair blonde and the dye was purple but it turned out blonde...anyway....i think if it was the actual brown color, if you had blonde streaks through your hair...its a no no to put darker dye on hair thats been dyed blonde...it equals red hair. second...did you not look at the tube before you put it on your hair??? and third, you have dyed it too many times in too short of time....its not likely that you will get the color you want if you dye it again really soon. wait awhile, use a good conditioner to keep your hair in good condition, and try to dye it again in a few weeks. you might hate the color now, but waiting a little while is better then having brittle hair from it being so dry and having to get it cut. hope i helped....just remember next time to either look at the tube to make sure its the right color, and dont try to put a darker dye over light hair. hope it works out for ya

ALWAYS CHECK THE BOX AND COLOR TUBE INSIDE TO SEE IF THEY MATCH!
The little ****wads from my hometown get a rise out of switching haircolor on boxes at the one and only grocery store SO when girls come to school with horrible hair they can laugh at them.
People are not nice sometimes, so always cover yourself and check check double check

You poor baby!! Sounds like you did the same thing that I did. All of you people posting to check the box and contents is great for the future. But this poor gal as well as myself need advice to fix the current problem!! :(
Refer to my posting to see my horror story. Maybe it will make you feel better. I will continue to read your responses as well as mine and maybe between the two of us we will not have to be the only orange brown haired people in the world!!
Until then know you are not alone for I too am a victim of terrible terrible overprocessed color with no way out!8 Ca ` pp`d ) ",bb %

Katie, you poor girl. I don`t think I would dye it again so soon though. Maybe just use Fancifull rinse or mousse. It`s a colored rinse that will wash out in 1 shampoo. (They also have it in mousse form that washes out in 1 shampoo)

That way you can mask the mistake and not fry your hair. At first I was going to say call the 1-800 number of the co. and complain and demand they pay the bill to have your hair fixed.

Then I read Stephanie`s post. OMG, I cannot believe someone would do that! What little ******s! Still though maybe it was the co. that made the mistake and I would still call and complain.

I don`t blame you AT ALL for not checking first. I`ve never ck`d and it could`ve easily been me that went through your dilemma.

(Some of you make it sound like you are blaming her for this fiasco. )

If you buy a certain color you expect that the color you chose will be in the box. I would`ve never thought the co. would screw up or some stupid brat would mess with the tubes.

Maybe I`ve been nieve. If I ever do a home color again I WILL check from now on.

After reading this, I dyed my mothers hair yesterday and I made sure that the the right colour was in the box.
I can`t understand in the first place why anyone would want to do something as sadistic as that, its truly awful., ), `
