Go to the Skunk Hair topic on Hair Talk. I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

Gord is just teasing you. He apparently doesn't like the idea of you putting a white streak in your dark hair.
To be honest I'm not sold on that idea either.4!,!

I've already done it extremely blond just gotta know what to do to make it white whether i should bleach again or whether to get a silver toner, btw Gord if someone wants to do something with their hair its their choice and if ur not gonna be helpful at least dont be arrogant

If that's you in your icon and your hair is as beautiful as your eyes, you've got something going. By suggesting you go to the Skunks site, I was suggesting you would look like a skunk if you put a white stripe on black hair. Was I trying to be funny? Yes. Was I being arrogant? I don't think so.

As I've said in previous posts, Asian women have the most beautiful hair in the world. It is admired by both other Asians and non-Asians, like me. Why you would want to screw with it is beyond me.

Are there photos of you somewhere showing before and after the white stripe?

Gord

That's a little pejudiced... personally I'd love to see more Asian people with bright unnatural colours, I love asian hair and think it'd look great with bright manga style colours(Since Manga girls always have cool hair). )! Aa la q`e !$40`" 4$b /4 ! $% ) , ,%,b` #(

I've seen Asian women with light colored hair that do look good, but usually Asian ladies look better with their natural dark hair.4!,!

I don't think it really matters what we personally feel looks best. Sometimes people change their haircolour to please theirselves not other people.

Is that really true allie? I didn't know that!
I think people should just do what we tell them to do!4!,!

It may take you 2 to 3 times to get the streak a palest yellow (it's not recommended to bleach beyond pale yellow) and it's the toner that will make pale yellow 'white.'

Hope that helped. $- P cn`dp0% 00BB .(4`p /.%%%,$!%( ,$!!0 2 $$

I recommend you to go to Sally or any beauty supply stores that offer better selection of toners and colors. Look for violet or blue-violet based dyes for that white look. I've been told that Clairol Creme Toner 323D (Extra Light Platinum) with blue-violet base does make hair look white. There's also Wella Frosty Ash and White Lady. Violet is the opposite of yellow so it becomes neutralized and looks white.

If there's no Sally near you, then off the counter at any drugstore may work like Clairol Nice n Easy's Ultra Light Natural Ash Blonde for almost white look. $- P cn`dp0% 00BB .(4`p /.%%%,$!%( ,$!!0 2 $$

You are so pretty Beachgerl!.

I have to make exceptions to my rule.
While I think most Asians look better with dark hair, you look wonderful blonde!

If this isn't too personal Beachgerl; are you 100% Asian, or ar you a White-Asian mix, a Euro-Asian person? You just look so lovely in the photos you have shown us of yourself with blonde hair! I'm just curious!4!,!

I agree.
You look great beachgerl!!!

Are you planning on staying blonde for awhile beachgerl?

I'm Caucasion but also very brunette. Do you feel it is hard on your hair going that blonde?

Hi tina m and kathyann,

Thank you both! I love being blonde...it's an irony...with my natural dark tresses, i looked kinda average compared to other much more gorgeous brunettes sporting same shade but when I went blond...it just made me look better than in my natural color. But to me it's just a color and it just happened to suit my coloring. I'm fully asian and I know that's hard to believe.

Yes, it's a little hard being blonde and high maintenance, but for me it's worth it as long as it's done properly and done with lots of deep treatments. With choppy, layered bob it's easier to maintain than with long hair. I'm really happy with it. But make sure you check if blond color is your color or not. Like tina m said, NOT all brunettes can look good with blond color if it doesn't match the skintone or if you're uncomfortable with lighter shade. It's not for the faint of heart . Kathyann, it's important you try out wigs before you make the plunge and to make sure your hair's in tiptop shape if you ever take the plunge . I have no regrets doing it and I can always tint back to black anytime. $- P cn`dp0% 00BB .(4`p /.%%%,$!%( ,$!!0 2 $$

I've read about those Ganguro girls Vineman.
They are Japanese girls who bleach their hair blonde, lay out in the sun or go to tanning salons and get as tanned as possible and wear heavy makeup.
It's just a harmless fad but of course some people in Japan are worried about them getting skin cancer beacuse they try to make their skin so dark.
I think the Ganguro girls are trying to imitate the California beach girl look, but that fad is long over with in California.4!,!
