I do not understand why this deal with long hair or short hair is becoming such a major controversy. As Dawn Pointed out, this site is for people with long hair and short hair. As someone else pointed out, it depends on the shape of your face. Diane, I know how you along with others feel about long hair being beautiful and attracting, and Mhayka and others, I know how you feel about short hair being easy to manage and fashionable. People with long hair and short hair are both equally beautiful and it all depends on how you want to wear your hair, its your hair, your choice. People, Its all up to you and you needn't follow any one elses rules on how long/short your hair should be. And thats the bottom line.

Hi,Thanks for your post. I totally agree.Jeff and I both happen to have very long hair. However, we believe in "freedom of hair" expression and that is why this site has every type of hair in the Gallery. We have photos of short hair, long hair, medium hair, curly hair, wavy hair...every kind and color. There is not right or wrong hair. It is right or wrong depending on what works for the person. I personally love long hair on me but I have had short hair in college and enjoyed that too. Right now and probably for the future I will continue to enjoy long hair.I totally agree. No need for argument. Everyone should do what is best for them and enjoy it.Regards,Karen> I do not understand why this deal with long> hair or short hair is becoming such a major controversy.> As Dawn Pointed out, this site is for people with> long hair and short hair. You are so right Dee. There are plenty of other sites where the social and political ramifications of hair choices are quite thoroughly addressed and where the vehement advocacy of one hair style over another is also fully explored. If people want to make blanket statements about all men being turned on by long hair or short haired women being cranky because they're somehow feeling inadequate, they should make those comments on a more appropriate site. I don't think Hair Talk is nor should it be one of those places. That's why I prefer to come here and why I never post anywhere else. This has always felt like a supportive environment where women can be comfortable about sharing rather than judgemental or critical about each others appearance. Don't we all get enough judment and criticism from the outside world? I agree that we should all learn to enjoy the variety that individuality offers. Choose your own path and don't forget to allow others the same priveleges you expect. As Karen said, its about hair freedom in all its forms!Best wishes to all!Dawn
