Hair gets TOO fluffy!

I have difficult hair. It has super strong waves. Actually I think I could make it into ringlets if it got long enough.

I don't want to cut it all off though because it is good hair but short or long it is hard to deal with and drives me crazy.

One thing that really bugs me is that after I wash it it becomes too, too, fluffy for a couple days. I have tried good shampoo and conditioner but it always does that.

I have "product" and do use it sometimes but I don't want to be tied to it. I want to bea able to wash and go no problem.

Is there some kind of shampoo or something that will calm it down and make it lay down better?
