It would be really hard to quantify this list since it really needs to be customized according to the following items:
1. Type of hair (fine, medium, thick)
2. Textured (straight, curly, wavy, kinky, mixed)
3. Hair length (very short, short, medium, long, very long).
4. Whether the hair will be styled professionally or DIY.
5. The gown worn & focal point. Is the gown designed to show off a gorgeous jeweled neckline, low cut sexy backline or neither.
6. How can the Prom hairstyle work best with the gown to make sure it enhances rather than detracts from the gown?
7. Or other accessories going to be worn which might be challenging for some type of hairstyles....dangling earrings, long necklaces, hair accessories such as tiaras, jeweled clips, headbands.
8. Any other considerations. Are hair extensions going to be used - fusion or clip-in. What are the trendy hairstyles in the city or area where the prom is being held?
If you can get answers to the questions above you can decide what are the ten best prom hairstyles.
One simple rule of thumb is that if the gown neckline or back is the focal point, wear the hair up or to one side to avoid the hair detracting from the gown's features.
If the dress is plain, amp it up with embellished hair such as long waves, curls, hair accessories and related.
Whether Prom hair is worn up, down or a combo of up/down, all the other factors have to be considered first.
Do you agree or disagree with me? And why?
