Multidimensional chunky highlights

Hi everyone! I am browsing through and looking for new hair styles and I finally found the one that I want. I have found a few pictures that show off the way the hair is done. It's one of the Kelly Clarkson styles. She has the brown hair with the blonde chunky highlights along with red mixed in as well.

My question is.... How do I communicate to my stylist that is what I want? I have a few pictures that show off this style and how the hair looks. Would that be good enough to give her or show her what I want? Or should I still search the internet for how the stylist did that coloring and what colors they used? Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much!
