Ombre Hair? (light top and dark bottom)

Light on top and dark on the tips. Is it emo or punk or just nasty?

I guess it has advantage over roots showing...if it looks bad just cut it off.
Personally, I can pass on this fad.

I personally don't like it at all. I think it looks really trashy. I only saw that style one time on a girl and it looked nice. She had super long, silky and really straight jet black hair that was cut into a V shape at the back. The bottom of her hair - about an inch - was dyed a bright red. That's the only time I thought it looked good, otherwise I don't like this style at all. Especially what Drew Barrymore has on that picture.

I think it looks terrible. Like someone else said, it looks like her roots grew out and she never did anything about it, or that the bottoms have been fried and she just hasn't gotten a haircut in a while.  cattchels2010-05-27 18:03:09

I think that it can look really good if the highlights are more natural. Rachel Bilson has ombre highlights and I think that they look really pretty.
