Braiding guys hair :)

Hi I am a guy currently with shaggier hair. I really want to get cornrows. Also, my goal length is mid back and when I reach that I would like to do all sorts of braids. U know french braids, braided pigtails, etc. Any suggestions on braiding guys hair? IT would be a great help?

If that doesn't help I know there are youtube videos on how to braid/cornrow.  You can practice on yourself, I'm in the process of learning myself lol.  For me its the hardest to start them off, get the tight @ the beginning.

Thanks Princess. Im glad to see you are learning to braid as well. To answer your question someone else will be doing my cornrows for me and the french braid once its really long. I will just be doing the braided pigtails or side braid. Make it easy on me haha. How long is your hair?

My hair is a lil longer than APL, my year end goal is MBL too.  My hair is braided up right now in box braids.

Wow the box braids sound amazing. MBL is a great goal too. Did u ever think of going longer like lower back? Im considering it now. :) HOpe about rope braids, what do u think of them?

Pburgh, I think you should grow your hair as long as you can get it.  Lower back would be awesome!  I hope mine can get that long!  I regularly wear mine in braided pigtails, and I love it.  (I'm a guy.)  So far I haven't gotten any bad reactions.  I've heard that cornrows can be damaging; I'd hold off on those if I were you, even though they look great.

I have, I'm going to grow out my hair as long as it can get until I get sick of it lol. I haven't had my hair longer than MBL in the longest.  I don't know much about rope braids are they like 2 strand twists?

Princess im sooo happy ur growing urs longer im sure itll look amazing :) Rope braids are u pull ur hair in a ponytail then take the strands and make 2 stranded twists. then u have a bunch of them hanging out of the ponytail. it looks sooo cool. what do u think?

Or micro-braids w/ extensions or just regular box braids with extensions for added fullness.

I think u should try micro braids with extensions :) they would look really good :) have u dont any cool styles?

awww cool. im thinking once its long of getting cornrows like halfway back my head then letting the rest of the hair fall down the back like usual. do u know what i mean and what do u think of the idea? thanks :)
