I hope someone can help-my natural hair color is dk. auburn (it has also been colored a lot with permanent color, too) & am starting to get a few 'salt & pepper' strands. I went to the salon to get highlights, but ended up with a head full of bleach-blond color! (except for underneath in the back). It looked AWFUL, so I went back the next week & the stylist colored it a brownish-red permanent color. That was 2 wks. ago-it has faded terribly, the highlights are all coming through & the color is terrible-ashy & with a slight greenish hue! Wow-paying BIG BUCKS for ugly color is depressing! Well, now I am to go back tomorrow to get it colored again-the stylist is going to do it free of charge. I know she is a stylist, but do any of you have any idea what color would FINALLY cover the highlights & actually be pretty? Oh, she did use a filler before she colored the highlights, but it didn't seem to help much. I do like deep, pretty reds & burgandy browns, but would they finally cover this mess? Please help-I have never gone through this problem with a salon-when I colored my own hair, it never looked like this! Any ideas? I will appreciate anything!! I know it is  dry & am deep-conditioning, but one bleach job will not ruin my hair for good, will it? Thanks!
