Whats best? semi or permanent

As above whats best im my case a semi permanent or permanant dye?

I had my hair lightened and the condion of my hair isnt very great now, its really brittle at the ends and looks dry all over.

I want it darker because I think it looks healtier but what should I use?

A semi or permanant?

i had luck using semi permant dyes when my hair was in your condition they are alot gentler and fade out gradually

Use a semipermanent dye, but not one that is too much darker than your current colour. Use a level 1 semipermanent (the kind without peroxide)
