 Extreme Eyelash Extensions? Lash Crystals?

OK, I am really getting addicted to this topic.  I have been reading through all the masses of PR I have received and another hot topic seems to be the extreme types of eyelash extensions, including "lash crystals" and "wild colors". 
 
I know that Jennifer Lopez has worn exotic lash extensions including those made supposedly from mink.  Is that right?  Was it mink?
 
Anyone here tried the lash crystals or extreme colors or other unusual extensions?
