Anyone ever had them?  Did you like them?  How do you do it?

My mom and sister grew thier hair out with these to go natural and now thier hair is bra strap length. They kep them well oiled and moisturized. I just do not like the look of them. I have just the regular kinky twist. I am still trying to grow my hair out to the same length.
