My frizzy ends came as a result of flipping them under with a flat iron, bending under with a scrunchie, etc. For the most part, they're fine, but I always wondered what would help them out.

I tried flipping my ends out today. They look fabulous. They feel silky and my hair looks healthy. Even more so when you consider by a hairdresser's schedule, it's time for me to get another relaxer. My hair looks so nice today that if I didn't know me, I'd think, 'That chick's wearing a wig.'

I think that I might look for some mango butter or cocoa butter today, though. I like my carrot oil, but variety is always a good thing.

Can you do the baggie method before you wash your hair or should it be done after?

If your hair is short (not long enough for a bun or pony tail) how would you do the baggy method.

A drop of Evoo follwed by a small amount of a creamy leave-in or moisturizer like Nexxus Humectress or Organic Root Stimulator Carrot Oil on damp hair works for me.

To everyone who has used it: Do you find that Elasta QP Mango Butter is lighter than Shea Butter?

Yes, the mango butter is lighter than shea butter. The mango butter is like a lotion and shea butter is much thicker and greasier.

Very seldom do I use a blow dryer or flat iron even though I have every product to have. I found going back to the good old magnetic rollers and end papers are best. And I trim my ends every month. In between I use Sheer Blond dream cream, believe me it is a great thing. My hair is very dry so the ends were always a problem. Not anymore It actually made me think about something about black hair products but that is another story. I found the carrot and the olive oil products always dried my hair out. They looked good for a day or so but then it dried my hair out.
Msmiz,

The baggie method is when you saturate the ends of your hair in your favorite moisturizer and oils then putting it into a bun and covering it with a little plastic baggie to protect them. I usually do this at night and my ends come out extremely moisturized and soft. It cuts down on the amount of trims you need also.
My sis, Cinnamon, does the baggie method and her ends are really smooth and soft.  I will try this at night from now on.

I like ORS olive oil, S-Curl, and coconut oil to seal on the ends.  Mango butter is good too!

My ends are like butter baby.   I've been doing the "Plastic Baggie Method" for about 4-5 days now and my ends are healthy and shiny.

Thanks HoneyDoo

I find that Profectiv Healthy Ends, Cantu Shea Butter, and Dabur Vatika Oil are the bomb on my ends! I like Elasta QP Mango Butter on my ends too, but only on wet hair, because IMO its too thick to put on my hair dry. I like to use shea butter (on dry hair) instead.

My elasta qp mango butter used to be really thick but since it's gotten hot it has thinned out a lot. It's a lot easier to use now.

I like to mix vasaline with a leave in conditioner and put it on my ends, like Keracare Jojoba Moisturizing Lotion, Surge Woojee Cream, S-Curl Mositurizing Spray, etc.

I'd like to buy a snood one day and just keep it like this for months using the baggie method.

But I tend to do the bagie method when I'm streching out my relaxers (why I'm not sure) after I shampoo I twist my hair (I make sure to secure it with something on the ends or my hair will tangle) and put a ton of vasaline or a cheap grease like Blue Magic, on my hair while it's in a ponytail.  I put the plastic baggie on until my next wash. I find that ponytail pieces irritate my scalp even with is very loose.  I just put a knee high on it and twist it twice around the baggie where my ponytail. I find that when I do the baggie method I NEVER get split-ends.

I'm trying to minimize product usage. Do you think Shea butter could be enough? so far so good. I have been putting a little WGHO, or carrot oil on sometimes to seal in the moisture. Is that enough?

I like the Profectiv Healthy Ends. I apply this to my ends daily and it seems to have really improved them. I've tried the baggie method in the past, but for some reason, it didnt work for me.

Ok ladies, I am having a hard time understanding the baggie method. What kind of bag are you putting on the hair and how do you secure the bag on? The bag is just covering the ends?  Someone said they wrap their hair in a bun then put the bag on...Are you making a regular bun where you pin the ends underneath?  I want to try this method but if someone can help me understand it so I wil be doing it correctly I would really appreciate it! Thanks girls!
