It's...ingrained in my dna. I think it's what you would def call "asian hair." Can anyone help me with this?
I usually grow my hair long and it's annoying cuz it always gets in my eyes and it's hard to move it off to the side without using gel or hairspray (i really don't dig that stuff). Also i think i've reached that point now where my hair stops growing downwards and insteads gets thicker and thicker, resembling a mushroom... I've been using a bar of soap to wash my hair (punker friend tips) and it's been working, my hair is more "scruffy" and i can manage it, but i think my hair is becoming immune.
I don't know what to ask for when i get a haircut, but it usually ends up looking the same for some reason. Can anyone please help me with this? i was thinking of something like this: http://www.soundgarden.civ.pl/foto/chris/chris39.jpg

thanks in advance!

Bar of Soap??
Dude, there are many type of shampoo out there, why bar of soap.
Yeah it would look scruffy, but after a while your hair will become like dry grass, unless you put gels and stuff on it. You dont really want to have gel and stuff on your hair 24 hours a day. I did it and it was no picnic.
If you want a haircut like that guy just bring it to the barber/hairdresser. They will know what to do.
I think layering the hair means that, when you cut the hair it will be layered with the hair underneath longer than the above layer of hair.
If your hair is still to bushy, get a mild relaxer. It will make your hair softer if it is done right.
Or you could use a quality shampoo that will moisturize the hair and makes less bushy

My brother has the same exact problem. His hair is extremely hard to weigh down for some odd reason. Gel is the best thing I can think of sadly. Sorry. =

Someone's already asked something similar to you. Maybe you can find an answer in there! =P
