As a longhair lover, I would have said actress Bai Lin before she cut it. I would have said Jeanette Lee before she cut hers. Same with model Haroumi Inoue. Figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi went shorter. Cripe, Lisa Ling cut her hair right on The View. Kelly Hu and Kiana Tom are long and then short and then long again. Lucy Liu does look great in Charlie's Angels and when she was in Ally McBeal that one love scene in which she uses her hair is unforgettable. I can't remember the name of that longhaired super model, but she dyes hers blonde. So I'm going with newest WWE wrestling diva Gail Kim. I hope she counts as an artist.
Hi Gord,

I am not familiar with Gail Kim. Do you happen to have any links that show her? I would be interested in checking out her hair. I also liked Bai Ling but last I saw, her hair was still pretty short or maybe it has grown out and I haven't seen it lately.

Star
My point about Bai Ling was that she had very long and glorious hair, but shaved it for a movie role and it will never look the same. That reference was part of a larger point that so many Asian with beautiful hair hack it off for one reason or another.

As for Gail Kim, I don't know if she truly has the best hair, but she's a relative newcomer, and she hasn't cut her hair yet. There are a number of sites on her, including groups.yahoo.com/group/feline_felina/, but you have to have a yahoo profile to join the group. Here's a single photo: http://www.canadianbacon.org/~oww/pic/g/gailkim/04.jpg
Eventually, Gail will be part of www.wwedivas.com.

The people who report on this thread sure don't write very often. No one has an opinion?

I've always liked Lucy Liu, not just her hair -(although that's fabulous)-, but everything about her. She is just incredible and VERY sexy!!!

When I worked for an escort service in Chicago we had several beautiful Asian women working with us, all of them lookers. A couple of these Asian ladies had beautiful long straight hair, one had hair well past her behind. Needless to say she was popular with the fellas - (and some of the ladies too!!!)-..... You would have loved her Gord!.

Tina, you've got me pegged! I took an Asian girl with waistlength hair to my senior prom and have been hooked since!

Tina, I've been reading your posts a lot lately and you seem to have an eye for the ladies. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) And now you say you've worked for an escort service. You're a very intriguing person!

That being said, how long is your hair and what is your hairstyle? (Gotta stay on topic!)

And I agree with you on Lucy Liu. In Ally McBeal, she had the most amazing love scene with one of the male attorneys in which her hair played such a big role. If you saw it, you'd never forget it.

Hi Gord.

I read your nice post. I can give you a little information about me and.....
I will try and keep this as clean as possible since I know there are teenagers as well as s reading here.
Yes Gord, I have "an eye" for the ladies, I'm bisexual. I am 27, I have a 5 yr. old daughter.

I have had my share of relationships with men, also relationships with women. I am in a relationship with a woman now,-( her name is Kathy Ann, she also writes on Hair Talk)-.
....and yes I was a "working gal" in Milwaukee and Chicago previous to meeting the man I had my daughter with.-( those escort service days are over for good Gord. It was interesting while it lasted but I've had enough of that lifestyle)-.
I am a natural . I had hair past my behind when I was a teenager and first started in the escort business in Milwaukee. When I moved to Chicago I got my hair cut in a fashionable bob cut,-(which seemed to be THE STYLE with many of the ladies I worked with and was a popular hairstyle on women with the men)-. Later when I met the guy I had my daughter with I went a little shorter.-(he liked me in short hair)-. I decided I liked the short look and eventually went to a very short crop, which is how I wear my hair now.

I found out something as an escort. No two men are really alike. Some like women, some like or Spanish ladies, some like Asian women, others black women. Same with hair length. Some go crazy for bob cuts, others,-(like you)- love the long haired ladies, still others love the short haired women, the shorter the hair the better. In the Chicago escort service business, believe me, there is every kind of woman with every length of hair. Something for everyone!

If you want to know more about me, go to the General Hair Talk Board. Look up the thread I started entitled, ARE THERE ANY WRITERS ON THE BOARD.
Uzma -(who is an interesting lady in her own right!)- and I have a discussion you might find interesting.

Good luck there guy!

Are they bad words? Geeez!
I was trying to say I'm a natural B. londe.

My all time favorite asian beauties are Lucy Liu, Kelly Hu, and Zhang Zee Yi(sp?). I have to say my favorite is Lucy although Kelly looked amazing as Yuriko Darkwing on X2. Her hair was just so sleek and flawless and the blue contacts...she look fabulous!

Gally3d, what a nic picture of Maki Goto. She is new to me! She does look good with red, much to my surprise. Because I look horrible with any natural red unless it's unnatural red like Manic Panic or SFX.

I think Kelly Hu has beautiful, long silky jet black hair. It just suits her overall. :)

As I see it, this thread is about "Which Asian artist has the best hair?" THE BEST HAIR. Not the cutest. Back in the day, Bai Ling had the best hair. What was it, down to her ankles? It was wonderful. Then came the shaving. Then the regrowing period. Then other cuts. And so on. Today, she does not have the best hair. No way.

I think I have the opposite problem of everyone else in that thread-- it seems like any time I get a crush on a cute Asian celeb, she grows her hair long again :-( . *sighs*
I thought Takagi Nao had really nice hair once, a few years ago. Unfortunately, it was really, really temporary :-( . See? http://nagoya.cool.ne.jp/dancenao/photos/20001118-2.jpg *doesn't know if that'll show or not* Anyway, that is the most gorgeous pic of her I have ever, ever seen. . . and, unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever, ever see her look that hot ever again :-( .

My hair is just like Lucy Lui's. It's naturally straight, but I have it angled a bit in the front. Her hair is my fav because it's natural, not a 'Western' style, no offense...

I haven't noticed much difference between Western and Eastern styles. I think sometimes Asian women's hair looks piecier than Western women's, even when in similar styles, but I thought that had more to do with the texture of Asian hair vs. Caucasian hair, and how it lays. It could be that Asian women have more spirited hairstyles (or more adventurous stylists) than Caucasian, though, I'm not sure. What other differences are there?

Is it just me... or do most Asian females have the exact same hairstyle anyways? (Long and straight)

I adore Ayumi Hamasaki's hair when she has it styled in curls. It's so cute on her. =)
