Hello :)

Tommorow (Thursday in the afternoon) I have an appointment with a new dermatologist. I haven't seen a dermatologist in about five years and am kind of nervous. All I'm hoping for is that she can tell me exactly why my scalp is so tempermental, what I can do to prevent the redness and the sores and the break outs, how to treat it, and what to stay away from. Please wish me luck!! Thank you so much!!

Maria :)

Sorry, it's taken me a couple days to return here and give you a report about what happened at the dermatologist. I had high hopes for this appointment, was counting on it,and even got out of work early for it. I could not wait to go and recieve the answers I needed to help my scalp. Unfortanately, when I arrived at the medical office and checked in, they announced there was no record of my appointment in the computer. I was stunned, thinking this had to be a mistake. They told me to see my primary physcian who refered me so that's what I did. I told them what happened, my primary physician's secretary (with my doctor standing there to find out what happened) called Dermatology to find out what happened. As it turned out dermatology, had no record of my appointment either. The secretary asked if they could somehow fit me in, but she was told no, and so they gave me another appointment for March 21st. I was very upset about this. It took me a couple of years even to get my primary physcian to refer me to a dermatologist, I waited a month for this appointment, and now I have to wait another month and a half? I don't think that's very fair. Do you? I really wish I kept that February 10th 4:10 appointment card. I know for a fact that when the primary physcian's secretary called up dermatology in January to get me that appointment, that's the date and time dermatology gave me and the secretary wrote it on the little card. As soon as I arrived home, that's the date and time I wrote on my calender. Is there anything I can do about this? :(

Thank you.

Maria
