What do you call this hairstyle?

Last year I was working in a retirement home and one of the ladies had a hairstyle that I really loved, but have never seen on a woman under 60. The top was permed into very tight curls, and was maybe 2 inches long. The back and sides about an inch above her ears was buzzed to 1/4". Would you call this a permed mushroom cut? Actually there were two women there with this hairstyle, and it looked very flattering on both of them. Any chance of anyone having a pic to show my wife, I would love to see her in this style.
