To relax or stay kinky?

 hi, I ave been natural for  6 months now. I am ttired of m=theone style mini afro. i cant do any hair styles  that luks gud. I dotn ave the money  to go to a salaon. My hair is alwaqys very dry even after applyin all kinds of moisturrzers. I have massive hair skrinkage.My hair is always lookin horrible n i ave to cover up with beanies.
 Do i relax? or even texturize so i can mange it better? Will it still be considered natural kinky hair?
