Anyone familiar with it or diagnosed with alopecia (Alopecia Areata Totalis, Alopecia Areata Universalis, Alopecia Areata) or knows anyone who is and was successful with re-growing their hair?

One of my close friends has this and she's been working with her dermatologist to fix the issues. He gave her a steroid cream to use on the bald patch and she's been stretching her relaxers as far apart as she can. She got married recently and ended up having to slightly change her hair style because of the bald patch. There is a little more than peach fuz  growing on the spot now but that's good because before it was a smooth as a baby behind.

Hey,

I have been re-growing my hair back for about 2 years now and I ran across a hair growing serum that was made by a lady in Charleston, SC...its called Boundless Tresses...it will give you 12 in hair growth per month...no lie...I've been using it for about 2yrs...I read about it on Long Hair Care Forum.

12 inches of hair growth a month? Highly doubtful. Even 12 inches a year sounds like a stretch. Does this person have a website? I'd love to see it if she does.

12 inchers was a typo....I apologize...it actually gives you 1 inch per month...does that sound believeable?   Well, it doesn't matter to me what anybody thinks because it has allowed me to grow longer hair then I have in my life.

1 inch a month is very possible. But 12 inches....naaaaaaaaaaah.

Do your thing girl. Coming from a black woman with kinky hair who's had and is heading back to waist length hair I know what it's like to get flack about hair care and growth.

It can and has been done...just not 12 inches in one month. LOL

Thanks for clearing that up.

You have to go to a dermatologist so they can look at the spot and recommend something for you.

If you go or find some way to get it without going to a doc please take my foolish advice and do a spot test before you start rubbing the stuff all over.
Just in case you're allergic to the stuff....better safe than sorry.

I really hope you find something that works. I know the pain of having a smooth spot of skin (at my hairline no less from wearing tight braids. Just treat it, avoid what made it happen in the first place and it will grow back.

Think positive.

I'm very familiar with alopecia. You should check out a website www.donvant.com they sell a product called Hairobics thats the best. The leave-in conditioner and hair booster works miracles.
