kanekalon vs natural hair

i guess it might sound as a stupid question, but what is better at the end?
i heard that kanekalon is very similar to a real hair, but also more durable, not fading or have moisture problem... just the only thing is that it's not real....
do any of you had an experience with such hairs or saw/touch it ever in real?

kanekalon is cheap synthetic hair best suited for braiding and nothing else..

My first answer was a QUICK answer.. So let me expand my original statement a little.. Kanekalon is a synthetic fiber that is USUALLY used in inexpensive braiding hair, hair pieces and wigs.. it is still considered synthetic hair

With care kanekalon pieces can last a long time. TDI makes a wonderful line of products to care for kanekalon pieces. (I brought a synthetic ponytail back from the dead using their products) However, kanekalon synthetic pieces (even the higher end kanekalon pieces) IMO do not have the same lifespan as high quality human hair pieces, nor do they wear the same as human hair over the long run.

Kanekalon can be itchy and hot, and some people they do not like the feel of kanekalon on their skin. The curls don't last forever, and in most of my synthetic hairpieces, I've had to re-style and refresh the curls. Kinky curly pieces usually cannot be refreshed once they get that "fuzzy" look that kanekalon usually get on the ends, and I end up simply replacing them as they are truly inexpensive pieces (most under $50).

Another option in the world of synthetic hair is thermal fiber synthetic hair. This is synthetic hair which can be styled using heated appliances (set to a low heat temp). Wawa is one of many brands of this type of synthetic hair. Thermal fibers are not made from the same materials as kanekalon which is why they can be styled with heated appliances. I've not yet seen hairpieces or wigs made from thermal fiber. I would gladly purchase one if I ever find one as thermal fiber offer better wear, longevity, and more styling options than kanekalon.

At the end of the day there are lots of hair options out there.. I prefer human hair, but for me my kanekalon wigs are great for short term occasional use.
