Yeah, so I have REALLY curly hair. It`s thick, dry, frizzy and puffy. It`s unmanageable for me. So, when I wash my hair, I put it up when it`s still wet. That`s the only way for my hair to look decent. It takes HOURRRSSSS to straighten and it`s very costly because of the time and effort it takes to get all the curl and wave out. It`s also very wavy at the root so it takes ages to straighten that out. I have never dyed my hair, the only problem is my highlights. Countless salons have told me that I cant do the Japanese Straightening becuase of my highlights. I want to know, is there anything I can do to either remove my highlights or to use a different chemical to straighten my hair permanently that will not damage my hair?

you cant remove highlights as such as they will always be there (you can fill with color though). i doubt there is any permanent straightening system on the market that won't cause some form of damage! i would let your highlights grow out then think about a straightener.
