This summer I want to get my hair updated. Right now it's long thick and very wavy. It's frizzy and dry. Ugh... I'm thinking to get it dramatically cut to a bob but I'm willing to do to just about anything cept dye it purple. :/ I was thinking about getting a lighter shade of blonde and cut into a bob with sideswept bangs. However, I need a look that is easy to style and won't take too much time. I usually straighten my hair but that takes like 45 min now. I also want to camoflauge my prominent nose. The first image is too show you my hair type and the second image is to give you a clear view of my facial features. Any suggestions for a new do for highschool next year?
 I look disgusted... 0_o

You have gorgeous hair and with your oval face shape, you could pull off just about anything.  I think a slightly inverted bob with the bangs side swept will look awesome on you.  I wouldn't go too much lighter; I think your color is great right now.  Have fun with this adventure.

Have you ever went from super long to short?

I think cutting in some long, side swept bangs, but just cutting the back to between shoulder and bra strap length would look really good.  With that you could still put up in a ponytail and go on those hectic high school days.
Whatever you decide, have some fun with it, and don't do anything thats going to take more time to style than you are willing to do.

Good Luck, Lisa

While the inverted Bob is in style and looks great, I am not 100% sure you would like it with your texture.  Unless you are wanting to chemically straighten your hair or spend lots of time straightening it each day, you might not want to consider this style.  There are many styles (long and short) that are in style right now for curly/wavy hair.  email me and I can help you find that style if you want - lexcutfromabove@yahoo.com

Thanks, Brian

I would bring it up to just above shoulder length and add in layering with bangs.

Brian your response was right on the money. I got a great, but scary visual in my mind after reading your post! She may have that 80s short poof thing if she goes with a bob because her hair is wavy. I think it's beautiful and she shouldn't cut it, but I love long thick hair or a long, thick and bone straight bob. Good luck, babe!

I would agree with most of the things said here except the colour.  I love the colour your hair is now and would not chane it.  As for an inverted bob, it would look amazing on you IF your hair was straighter, but as it is naturally frizzy it could just frizz all the more. So i would suggest either a bob just above your shoulders so the weight help keep the frizz down or a short crop so the curls would work for you not against you. I'll see if i can find a picture so you can see what i mean.

I think you should be able to pull off most styles even thugh you have a complex about your nose. It looks fine to me, right in the middle of your face where it should be LOL

Take care and post some more pix once you have it cut too Smile

Well I do like my length... I could go even longer but I would like a change of some sort. I mean it's not that I havent had short hair before... I had a bob for the longest time when I was younger, but that was before I got this nutso wavy hair. Now you got me worried that if I do get it cut short it'll poof. However, if I do get it cut short, I don't think I'll have the guts to go quite that short.  Argh... I keep going back and forth with what I want to do. All I know for sure is that I want to get side swept bangs. Any advice? Should I keep the length and get bangs or should I get the bob?

why don't you get the side-swept bangs first (I also think they'd look good on you), then you can always cut the length later if you decide to. I think you look great with long hair, by the way.  It looks thick and curly to me, not frizzy.

I straighten it like once a week maybe. But it takes like an hour. I guess that's what comes with long hair though.

Oooooh! That looks great. And you don't even have to cut it. Just a little teasing and poofy poofy at the top, and you done! Voila! I love it. Are you going to do it?

Yeah, I think I'll do that. I'll get those bangs. What about the color?

Is there any layers I need to get for this cut?

I would say just some long layers... starting maybe at the shoulders and going to the ends. That will give it some movement and body without losing a lot of length.

I hate to say this but i don't like the last picture you posted. I much prefer your hair is in the very first picture compared with the last one (no offence, but the last style is so averagely American). By all means keep the length but don't go for something like that it looks unnatural.
I'm biased (as i love short hair) and would say go for the bob as i think you have great facial features for it. If you want it long look at some of the style Heidi Klum has had. this should give you some better inspiration.

Good luck

I think you look lovely just the way you are, and this would also be an attractive look.

So Ashbobash,

Did you make your mind up which style you were going to go for?  If so can you post a picture once you have had it cut as I am curious to see how it turns out and If i was right or wrong in my initial assessment of what style you should go for.

All the best Smile

Hey all... sorry for the long wait. I'm getting my hair done next week! I think I'm sticking with my length but with layers and and heavy bangs like in the picture I uploaded. However I'm still deciding on how blonde I should go. I kind of want to go platinum maybe a bit darker but I'm not sure... what do you all think?
