Newbie Needs Help

Hello, I'm a complete hair newb. I only know how to do a ponytail.

I'm looking for guide on ponytail styles.  I seen one in particular that i'm looking for, it's pulled back like ponytail & has strands of hair coming out. I can't seem to find ponytail instructions. All the updo i come across are bun shaped, which i don't like.
