Thanks for your feedback.  I am responding on my own notebook which I use most of the time.  

 

I confess that I made a long and carefully thought out decision to allow the ads on the side in our newly reformated template.

 

You may not be aware of how much it costs to host the HairTalk Forum.  It is extemely expensive and we do not charge for anything on HairBoutique.com.   Nada...nothing.  And we have never charged a penny.  All of the funding for HairBoutique.com comes from our Marketplace and from my own personal pocketbook.

 

Like most large sites, ads help pay the bills and keep the lights on.  The new side ads (or wasted space which you find annoying) will allow us to add even more features such as the myForum which will be unveiled soon.  The ads already help pay for the 14,000+ images. 

 

I am sorry that you do not approve but if you (or anyone else) would like to start funding the cost of running Hairtalk I will happily remove the side ads and expand the forum space like before.

Thank you so much for your kind post and feedback. 

 

It is always so hard to try and balance everything because we know that while we try and please most of our HairTalk visitors we can't always please everyone all of the time.

 

I very much appreciate your comments on the new design.  The bulk of the work was done by Andrew and his team including help from Jeff and Paul.  I think they did a great job and worked long and hard to make it happen.

 

Thank you also for your long term support of HB and HairTalk.

 

And yes..I am still enjoying my long hair.  :-)
