When do you feel your hair most thrives?  (After you wash and style..a few days after you've washed etc.)

Hi PG

My hair is natural and thick and thrives better a good two  to three weeks after it has been washed. I don't wash my hair that often and try not to 'goop it up' with too much oils and lotions etc. But in saying that my hair does seem to eat up oil. I'm a strong believer that washing ones hair less allows it to grow and thrive. I deep condition one a month to every six weeks and i notice how much it has thrived during that time.

About one day after I wash. That is when it starts to feel normal, nice and healthy again.

My hair is its best as soon as i wash it. I have biracial-like hair (just finished transitioning) and when i wash it, it feels wonderful. Especially when its wet and i run some lt gel in it...and then tie it down!!! Yay!!

Then it turns into a big ball of fluff once i let it dry....awww....

My hair thrives when I have not touched it for a few 5+ days after a good wash.. .. it loooks like gorgeous "days old" hair!  By the time, I get this great hair, it's time to wash again

I like my hair airdried the day after a wash...which is every 3 days.  My hair is the softest and fluffiest at this point!

My hair looks and feels the nicest the day after I wash it too.  It shines really healthily and has elasticity.  Before I found the hair care boards I used to use shampoo when washing my hair and it was the worst after I washed it because of the dryness!  But as soon as I got rid of the shampoo and started using African black soap it has changed.  I wash twice a week now and my mindset has changed.  If I notice my hair getting dry or dull I now think of washing as an opportunity to moisterize and condition it.

I also notice I get more breakage if I go for more than a week without washing.

Show how different we all are!

During and after washing it. My hair LOVES water! I can tell the difference in the texture and feel of my hair as soon as I stand under the shower. And it continues to feel good until the next day.

I oil/moisturize my hair, but as soon as it feels dry I just wash it again. So I won't be straightening my hair for a while.

My hair feels its best when a day or two after I rollerset it.  It takes much longer when I wrap it or even worse air drying it loose.
