Ok, I think it's probably "20"--can someone help rescue me from my ignorance?

Not exactly sure. I thought it was 16 pounds. But uzing Uzma's numbers it calculates to about 14 1/3 pounds.

According to my dictionary a "stone" can be used for various things, and the amount of weight it represents varies, depending on the subject.

For example: with meat or fish a stone equals 8 pounds (3.629 kg) but with cheese it's 16 pounds (7.258 kg).
In the case of the weight of a person it would be 14 pounds (or 6.35 kilograms).

But Uzma - or another Brit - would know for sure, right?

Isla is right, a stone in body weight is 14 pounds.
