very fine hair woes

Ok, I have plenty of time to figure this out, but I should probably get a good start about now. I`m getting married in the early summer, but have no idea what I can do with my hair. It is medium length, very very fine and straight. It will not hold a curl. In fact, without lots of "goop," a braid will slide out of it. Any suggestions?

I have the same problem you do. What did you or are you going to do? I`m gettig married in October and have no clue. Any help you might give would be great.
