Hair Products For Knots

my hair gets knotty so i use a detangling spray can i straighten my hair with that or do i need a heat protective spray as well

Knots the easy way are best fought in the shower,conditioner in hair, plastic vent brush working head upside down brushing ends working up to scalp. Blot towel dry do not rub.
