Newbie with individual braids

Hello everybody,

I was at an Afro-Shop last Saturday and I got individual braids. I love them to bits and everything, but there are 2 challenges that I face. The one challenge is occasional itching (I am a "scratchoholik", but at the same time I am careful because I don't want to scratch so hard, that the braids would fall out---if that's possible). The bigger challenge is when I go to bed. I'm thinking about getting a durag for when I go to sleep. FYI: My braids are down to my hips.

I would be thankful when you could give me any tips and/or share some similar experiences.
