prom hair

I hair medium brown naturally curly hair (I usually straighten it) that rests right above my shoulders. for my senior prom, I want to wear it half up with banana curls. any suggestions for the hair that will be up? i've seen pictures with knots, but not for half-up styles.. perhaps someone has another suggestion? thanks!
