I like short skirts... but then I spend too much time worrying if I am revealing something I wouldn't want to!

So my favorite skirts are long and flowy. Nearly ankle length! So comfy, and no need to shave.

What about you?

PS Thanks to Uzi for suggesting this topic!

I'm like you, I love wearing short skirts, but I often wear long dresses too!.
Actually I really like most dresses and skirts of varying lengths.
Some women don't like wearing dresses or skirts they prefer slacks or jeans. Not me, I like dresses and skirts. I do sometimes wear jeans though around the house or in the neighborhood, but I like very feminine clothing best!.

I love long ankle-length skirts, especially worn on summer evenings.

There are loads of frilly, split and jagged edged skirts in London these day and IMO they look awful on everyone.
I like the straight-edged skirts worn with a same colour top and mary-janes. Or DMs when I'm in black-mode.

As a petite person, I tend to wear long skirts, especially for formal wear, because it lengthens the legs. However, I do have a few short skirts and dresses for nice summer days and when I feel like showing some leg.

Either just below the knees, or above, saying that though, I never wear my skirts, there too much of a hassle and don't suit my lifestyle or anything at all!

Wel I love short skirts...but with a baby and work, I hardly get to wear them.  I am really tall with long legs...so short works for me.  But usually I wear knee length a- line skirts to work

I love long ankle-length skirts in summer - no need for sun-block on my legs  and short skirts in winter and I don't mind getting my butt frozen off

I've been a pants (mostly jeans)-only person for years, but lately I've been trying to diversify my wardrobe a bit, so I currently own two skirts.  I might get a couple more if these aren't too uncomfortable for me, but right now I still feel a little strange in one :-P .  I purposely only looked at shorter skirts, like knee-length or above, because (illogical statement to follow :-P ) long ones seem a bit elderly to me.  I want to feel cute and youthful, not like an old church lady!  No idea why I feel that way, but I do.  *shrugs*

Hey good for you Kuroneko . I'm the opposite, I've spent so long wearing only skirts, pants feel weird to me now. Anyway if your avatar is anything to go by you're not exactly going to look like an old church lady in a longer skirt

I never wear skirts, I love my jeans. Plus I've always thought I had a big butt, so I'm not sure it would look flattering in a skirt. My problem is that I've got a quite slim waist and then a j-lo-ish bum, something I'm not to happy about. I should probably buy a few for next summer, does anyone know what sort of skirt would sit me? I'm not all that tall either, about 165 cm (don't know what that is in feet and inches though )...

I like short skirts, but don't like wearing high heels because I can't walk in them. So I don't know what shoes to wear with skirts!

Aah, well, I'm sensitive about my age lately-- I'm gonna be turning 30 in a couple of months, and am feeling old because of it :-( .  I'm still trying to hold on to youth tooth and nail!

I have a big bum, too :-P .  It makes me a little self-conscious the way it makes skirts come up in the back.  I have to wonder why clothing companies don't make skirts a little longer at the back than front, for people like us.  I really have no idea how to remedy that, otherwise.

I also have a hard time walking in heels, though my balance is getting a little better. . . slowly :-P . . .  Think you could get away with boots or sandals with your skirts, or are they not the type to work with that?  Or if you wanna work on balance-- don't laugh!-- boing on a trampoline.  *nods*  That's been helping me.  I've heard walking on sand or some other soft, shifty material should help, too.  I think it's something about how it takes more effort to keep your balance on something soft or moveable than firm floors or pavement. . . it's been a while since I read the article.  Worth a try.

Short skirts, anything below the knee is uncomfortable.

Yup, same as Jean Ann, with the skirt stuff. I go for A-line's right above the knee or at most 3in. above. They show enough
