Yoanna got it! I am glad! She was nice and very pretty! Did anyone see her butcher her hair in the back? LOL! Now that was a sight! That is what impatience wil do to ya every time! Debbie

Actually, I wound up pretty annoyed that she won... she completely collapsed under pressure (chopping her hair, walking poorly), and yet she beat out two girls who did far better jobs and were far prettier overall. Mercedes should have won, hands down.
I tend to agree...I think Mercedes should have won, Yoanna has very poor posture and just didn't present well in perosn. In her photgraphs,however, I think she looked great. But overall Mercedes just had "it."
I agree. I think Mercedes should have won because she was very pretty and handled herself well. But I think Yoanna looks like every other model and she has the type of face that will win her American fans as well as European fans. I think in the end, the judges pick the person who they think will bring in the most money and Yoanna was it. They say they want a new face that is not commercial but that is just what they pick. I just hope Mercedes pursues modeling because she is very cute
I'm so glad that Yoanna won.... she has a beautiful face, and she lost quite a bit of weight to get where she did (not that she was ever heavy, by any stretch!). I tend to totally agree with a lot of the panel judges that kept saying that Mercedes was too commercially pretty to be a top model. No doubt about it that she's a cute, pretty girl..... Just not the typical top model type. Top models are usually non-conventional looking, and are more angular. That way the clothes hang better, and the camera adding 10 lbs isnt an issue. Personally i'd rather be commerically cute then a top model any day.
